2002 Acura CL type S

Have an Issue I am having problems putting my finger on the cause of it. I am getting 8 different engine codes
p0300, p0302, p0303, p0304, p0305, p0306, p1399
Also Seem to have a oil leak in VTEC range coming from what appears to be a solenoid at the front right end of the motor says siemens EE01 388320 on it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am currently running Bosch Iridium Fusion Plugs and Synthetic Mobil One for Oil
Realized I was going to have to pull them anyway. But wondering why i am burning oil and leaking oil out of said solenoid it seems like just started today. Where is the vtec solenoid located.
I figure the plugs are the cause of the misfire.

Thanks for the information looking at the pricing on doing a 3.5L Conversion incase it needs to be rebuilt. Thanks for the Info. Just need to figure how to tell what solenoid or whatever it is thats marked seimens EE01 388320 on the top of it. Thanks

well after reviewing the photos, the part your pointing at is the EGR valve. Part number 18011-PGE-A00 from Acura. My local dealer sells it for $99.71.
also from the pictures, there seems to be a whole lot of oil in that area. Is that all from the valve? There isnt supposed to be all that oil around there, like on that breather tube and coolant lines there.

According to the CEL codes, you have:
P0300 Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
P0302 Cylinder 2 Misfire Detected
P0303 Cylinder 3 Misfire Detected
P0304 Cylinder 4 Misfire Detected
P0305 Cylinder 5 Misfire Detected
P0306 Cylinder 6 Misfire Detected
P1399 is also a misfire code
I dont know if the EGR valve is related but if oil is coming from there, then I would replace the gasket under the EGR valve since there were no codes thrown for the EGR valve specifically. Also pull the plugs out and replace it with NGK iridiums. A lot of people use the cheaper Iridium IX versus the Lazer Iridium but the lazer iridiums are OE.
you can just tell the dealer you need the gasket under the EGR valve and they should know. Or I can look up the part number for you

is the oil leak from the EGR valve that bad? cause it seems like the misfire should be your biggest concern. and obtaining the right plugs is easy, just visit your nearest auto parts store and ask for the NGK Irdidium IX plugs for your car.

check local recycle yards or craigslist for part outs. you should be able to get one for under 1k for sure.
sorry to hear about the engine. I wished it would have been an easy fix as R&R the plugs and the EGR valve gasket.

that oil sitting in the wells on the intake mani are kinda normal, it happens if you dont have a catch can. I had a few pools of oil when i took off the silver plate and my engine runs great.
just see if a buddy or something can take you to the parts store and get you the plugs you need. then you need to get to the acura dealer and pick up that gasket. i wouldnt drive around with good plugs and that bad oil leak, sounds like the oil could be going into the cylinders.
or are you just gonna give up on the motor all together and get a new one without trying to fix this one?

mine is also burning oil like no tomorrow since this has happened. looked to see if floated a valve on the front since i had an oil soaked spark plug and looks like i floated the intakes on that side and the exhaust on another cylinder
damn, if you dont wanna fix that cause it might be expensive then i would look into getting another engine. you could get one for 500-1k dollars, but i dunno how much labor would be. any idea if you know how this happened?
debating mdx 3.5L in place of it will obviously loose 20hp but gain about 15lbs of torque can get one for 500 before shipping
found a 3.2l j32A2 for 800 before shipping guaranteed less than 85000 miles on it.

how many miles on the 3.5?
and do you have the know-how to do a 3.5 swap? not sure if you can just bolt it straight on and still use the original ECU. do a search on it, maybe you'll come up with something

its your call then. there is a thread on the 2G CL homepage about someone else doing a fresh build. I would think that the J32A2 would be the easiest to swap in without modification and it has lower miles. but its up to you.
so your going with another J32A2?
where is the motor now in cali? cause im in cali. im just curious cause i like about 30 min away from one of the nations largest auto recycle areas.

It seems really unlikely that your engine is toast. I can't see anything that could possibly do this much damage. As far as the oil everywhere you should check your breather tubs and whatnot, it seems more or less that they are leaking oil everywhere.
Is there any smoke coming out of your exhaust? If its blue, yeah its oil. If its white then coolant.
As far as the misfire goes you may just have 1 bad coil pack, this is exactly what happened to another member on here named StonedCL, It would cause all of your cylinders to misfire.
Worst case scenario your headgasket is blown, With an auto cl with a rev limiter and no extensive modifications I haven't read about anyones rings going bad or valves floating. Good luck and check all those things out before looking at engines, it may be a smaller problem then you think. Have you done all the maintanance on your car regarding timing?

i just bought the car so the maintenance since i have bought it has been done top notch. But its burning and blowing out 2 to 3 quarts of oil. Plugs are soaked so i have blow by somewhere. I either have a blown valve seals or a blown ring because it had a spark knock before hand. My maintenance normally gets done ahead of time anyway. ITS BLOWING OIL OUT OF THE EGR well normal cause of EGR Blow By is Blown RINGS. I have 90 dollars worth of toasted plugs also. K&N drop in air filter with more 5w 20 Synthetic Mobil One in it then in the motor due to blow by.
Whats bad is there is not enough 600 miles on the plugs and oil change. Whats left of the oil that is.

still dont get how this could have happened. I dont think an engine just randomly blows its valve seals or seal rings especially since you keep good maintainance on it. do you know why this happened? did you try to fix it yet by replacing the EGR valve or gasket and get the new plugs?
