2001 Acura CL Type S transmission problems in Canada US car

Hi I have a 2001 CL Type S and have the dreaded transmission problem. However It was once a US car and is now with a Canadian title. What can I do to get it warrantied. Can anyone help me check that the warranty still applies according to my VIN number. Thanks

Im in the same position but my transmission has already been replaced.

From what I understand, the previous owner told me that after you change the title of a US car to Canadian you loose your ability to be warrantied under Acura. So what he had to do was replace the transmission on his own (which was half covered by some third party warranty he purchased when he brought the vehicle over) and the shop which replaced the transmission for him warrantied it for another year to follow.

Hope this helps.
