My fuel gauge has been stuck below “E”, I tested the fuel pump and it is fine.
I am trying to do the needle sweep/gauge test to see If it ismy actual gauge that is the problem and it is not working. I am following the instructions, any tips?
Thanks!

Sorry about that. I was a little confused. I couldn’t find a way to edit or remove the posts or I would have taken the repeats posts down. I think I understand this forum a little better now.

Sounds good.

To my knowledge there is no cluster sweep test on 2nd gen TL/CL. The procedure you are using is likely for a later gen vehicle.
After checking the #9 fuse, then checking voltage between pins 1 & 2 at the fuel pump/sending unit connector(trunk under access panel), you can use a 2 Ohm resistor to check the fuel gauge itself. If all tests are good then you have a bad sending unit.
The following is from a 2G TL service manual but should apply to the CL.
