03cls leather

Does anyone have a problem with the leather starting to show signs of wear on the driver's seat? Mine is still in good condition, but I can see signs of future wear starting to come in. I had the same problem in my integra after a while. Is it just the quality of honda leather, or is there something I can do to forstall this, as reupholstering is prohibitively expensive with the factory replacement. Any info will be appreciated. 'Thanks

Never had any problems with the leather in either my '97 or '01 CL's. Everything looks good with an occasional cleaning and conditioning. What kind of wear are you seeing?

starting to see lines on driver's side seat on the left front that look like they could be the precursors to cracks. I know I live in hot tx, so I do have a sun shade

Picture taken in Sept. '04... Hasn't gotten any worst, and I probably should clean and condition the seats more then I have been...

I have signs of it in the same spot as Greenie. I just try and keep it conditioned about once a month and it hasn't gotten any worse.

I had the same problem and my seat actualy came apart. the leathere and the vinal tore. my car is a 03 CLS 6. the seat is the same as the picture above but much worse. that is how is started. acura prorated me half the cost of the new leather drivers seat cover. also the foam pad began to come apart under the seat and I have had to purchase a new cushion as well. you probably think, "what the hell do you weigh and what are you doing in that seat jim?". I weigh 210 and am 6'1". I do jump in and out of the car quickly, often. my passenger seat looks a little better than the one pictured above. I have never seen leather go to crap so quickly. I havnt treated the leather to often though. do live in hot climate as well.

My seats have the normal wear marks. I just keep conditioning them to minimize the appearance.
