Hey guys I'm new to the forum. The timing belt on my Type-S broke today and wasted the valves. I've been looking at used engines and have noticed there are 2 engines available based on the 6th digit of the VIN. It's either 4 or 5. Mine is 4. Is this digit indicating manual/auto trans? If so is there a difference in the engine block? Or will either one fit? Thanks.

First things first: how many years and miles on the broken tb? And were you being overly enthusiastic when it broke?
