'03 CL headlight ballast.
'03 CL headlight ballast.
I know I need a new ballast for the pass. side, and I know the frt. bumper cover has to be removed to get the headlight out. Is there a diagram out here that shows all that is involved in doing so? This is undoubtedly the most rediculous thing I have ever come across. Keep in mind I'm a Chevy/Harley guy, where things are a bit more straight forward. Sorry to all the Acura fans, No disrepect, but this is stupid, over 400.00 and half a days labor for a headlight out????? UNBELIEVEABLE!!!!

I do agree that it is quite rediculous that the ballasts are on the bottom of the headlight housing, and in an inaccessible area. That DIY is pretty good. Its really simple to remove.
Once you have the bumper off, you can remove the headlights. Dont forget to disconnect the ballast from the harness. I dremelled a slot into the screw holding the rear cover on. Remove the cover, push and twist to pull the ignitor out, unscrew the ballast from the housing, and gently pull it out.
The first time you pull the bumper off it may take alittle while. But overall it shouldnt take much longer then 1.5hrs.
