03 CL-6 Alarm going off uncontrolably
So I'll start out by confessing I'm a complete noob to Acuras and high end cars in general. I was out today and was using just the valet key to get around as I didn't feel like carrying the fob with me. All was fine, until I stopped at a gas station to grab a drink. My wife stayed in the car and i exited and locked the doors using the switch on the door. When I came back, she pressed the switch to unlock them for me and it set off the factory alarm. Very loud honking/blinking lights etc. It went on for a few minutes and stopped. We drove to where we were staying for the night and when we opened the door to get out of the car the alarm went off again.
What did I do wrong and is there any way to fix it without the fob? The fob is at home and I really want to avoid having the alarm go off again when I get into the car tomorrow morning.

Even if you locked the door from inside the car it will still set the factory alarm. The fob is only needed to unlock the doors & disarm. The only way to bypass it is to disconnect the hood or trunk pin switches.
However if you use the key in the door & unlock the car from there that should disable the alarm as normal.
