03 3.2CL w/navi stereo dead, but charger and button lights work?
This might be a dumb question, but I came back to my parked CL and my stereo unit was totally dead. I checked all the fuses and reset the battery connections.
Nothing reading on the radio display, and no response from eject buttons.
It seems odd to me that the Navi still works fine, the lights on the stereo unit work when the headlights are flipped on, and the cigarette lighter under the unit still has power. The radio display panel never shows anything.
Any ideas? I'm comfortable opening it up, but I'd rather rule out all the simple fixes first.
The manual says if someone was messing with the unit, the codes tries would max out and the unit would go dead, but then turn back on after 4 hrs drive time. It has been way longer than that.
Thanks

And just to confuse me more, when I put a new fuse in the #9 slot in the passenger door the internal changer or cassette deck starts making all sorts of noises before eventually stopping. That new fuse is not blown, as when I put it in another slot of the same amperage it works fine.
Even while it is making noise, the LCD display stays blank.
