'01 CL SRS Light Came On, Seatbelt Problem?
My SRS recently came on. I did some research online and found that a common reason for this is due to a seatbelt problem which I read is covered under lifetime warranty.
My local Acura dealer said they would take care of the problem if it is the seatbelt problem. However, if it's not, I'm going to be charged for the diagnostic fee of $114.
Are there any other ways of determining why the SRS light came on? Any other suggestions?

This only applies if your SRS system doesn't have an active fault. If it does, the light will go off when you reset it, but it will come back on within the next 24 hours. I'm gonna take a guess and say you recently had a weak or dead battery?
Copied from another post:
1- look underneath dash, near fusebox, for a 2-wire yellow plug, disconnect it and pull it down so you can work with it.
2- turn ignition OFF
3- jumper the 2 wires together (cut paperclip in half and straighten, insert one end of both halves into back end of plug where each wire goes in, touch them together and hold)
4- turn ignition ON (SRS light will turn on for 6 seconds, then turn off)
5- within 4 seconds of SRS light turning off, unjumper the 2 wires (SRS light will turn back ON)
6- within 4 seconds of SRS light turning on, jumper the 2 wires (SRS light will turn back OFF)
7- within 4 seconds of SRS light turning off, unjumper the 2 wires (SRS light will blink ON and OFF, indicating SRS function is reset)

I had to use this reset about 2 years ago and it worked like a charm.

Reset it and see if it goes off again. Theres a youtube video showing how to do the reset procedures too. After I reset mine, ever time I plugged in the passenger seat belt, the SRS light would go off, thats how I knew that the passenger buckle was defective and Acura replaced it for free.
