just got into my car today after work, and saw polka dots all over. wiped it down, but still stained all over dash. car has only 130k miles. any UPDATE on best route to go thru acura services or dealership?

 

mine is about to blow as well...it looks clear up top and tinted on the bottom and there is oil looking stuff all over it...
sorry for your misfortune, but it should be an easy replace if you can find one

 

Youre way out of the grace period for a new mirror. You can contact your dealer, but I highly doubt theyll do anything for you other then make you pay.

Sadly, the chemical that is in the mirror stains, and those stains wont come out. So a word of caution for those that notice their mirror starting to "bleed" - replace it immediately.

The mirror from Acura has been updated, and sells for ~$80 online.

Too bad the manufactor doesn't do goodwill replacements anymore. They sent me a new one then I sent mine old one in. The new ones are solid core instead of liquid core.

 

yeah, contacted the manufacturer, figure i'll give it a shot. basically they told me to suck it. don't really care too much about price of replacing the mirror, but the damn dash and around the shifter console had to get messed up. took really good care of my car too
