01 cl 3.2 issues
My brother gave me his 01 CL 3.2 type S. 1st issue is the car has been sitting for like 3 yrs, so the battery was dead. got a new battery but noe the radio is locked. the serial # is 30001445 is anybody knws how to unlock it. 2nd issue 3 lights won't go out. check engine is on which is the o2 sensor. already went to get that checked out, but the others are the VSA light and the srs light. the VSA light turns on and off. the SRS light stays on. i have been reading some info on this, but my car doesnt stall and the tranny shifts smooth. not like what i have been hearing. the tires were flat and i heard that would make the light come on, please give me some info before i take it to acura and break the bank.

take the serial number to acura and they will give you the code. the srs light is under acura lifetime seltbelt warranty so it should be fixed for free. i got my srs light fixed for free.

or write down the codes for future reference, then basically reset them all, and see what ones come back, since the car has been sitting for such a long time afterall
and as far as the o2 code, you might need a new one, again related to sitting, and it degrading too much over that time of not being used
then also as a preventitive maintence item, change all the fluids, including the brake fluid too (it probably has moisture in it, which can cause corriosion in the system, which might also be related to that VSA light)
then as said tires are flat, so i would get new ones of those also, old ones are probably dry rotted in sections, and lopped sided too from sitting flat for so long
the shocks will probaly be blown also (the seal basically dries out at the top, then when you ask it to work again, all the oil just gets pushed past that dried out seal, so the shocks get covered in that oil)
