$20 of gas = full tank?
$20 of gas = full tank?
ok so the other day, i went to get gas and i was at empty, so i filled it up with 20 bucks, and keep in mind that gas at this time was around $4.10 a gallon. So i thought it would of gotten a little bit under half with about 5 gallons of gas or so. So I finished filling up, started up the car and next thing you know it, it went to empty to WAY above half.
Now i don't think this is possible, so I've been driving on a full tank when its more like less than half a tank. I've driven for a week and used up about a half tank, so atleast i know my needle is not stuck. Filled up today again at half, (not knowing the real amount of gas I have), thinking that i could hit the indicator back into place inside the gas tank, but nope, went back to full tank.
What do I do? What happened? and is there anything i can do to knock the floater or what ever it is in my gas tank to make it read the real amount of gas I have.
It sucks not knowing how much gas you have.
Oh yeah should i Just try filling it up all the way, and wait till the pump stops at like 50$ (usual cost of full tank for me).
thanks please help, OH yeah does having a drop or an intake void my warranty on the SRS warranty? The SRS light just recently turned on too... AHHH too many problems
