The stuff I put in my car..

Ok so I decided to start my build thread because me audio set up is going to get pretty epic then I plan on going more performance towards this summer. But that is the plan so as a disclaimer I'm saying right now its only a plan and nothing is set in stone.

What I have so far.. annd I have a camera but I will only use it for the images that are necessary all others will be found off google most likely. If you want exact images please feel free to send me a PM.

Installed parts:

Option under drive pulley

The far right one, courtesy of Rajca

Shitty ass ebay intake

(no pictures will be taken because of the disgrace ebay has brought to my car)

Debadge and verrrryyyy slight tail light tint (almost unnoticeable) google image

XS headers... also google

I have yet to install these, but as soon as spring hits I promise you they(it??) will be on. Greddy Evo 2 cat back (pictures courtesy of devin1tl, even though these are for a 3G it is the exact same idea)

My car starter and alarm (I live in a verry northern climate so a starter is necessary 9 months out of the year) a Viper 5902, pictures courtesy of their website.

This is the main reason why I finally started this thread. As for the previous mods most of you were well aware of what I had because of my signature. Continuing on, my sound system. I will post pictures as they come and it probably won't start till march and wont be finished till.. well ever haha, but I do promise that it has never been done in our vehicle before (at least one peice) so in the mean time I will leave this as the mod for my system.....

Oh and don't worry come summer I promise to add a drop and rims because it is required for this car and the fact that I have gone this long without it is a mystery to me so don't worry to much about it.

You and me both.

I recently was rear ended and had my bumper fixed the other day, while in the shop I got them to take off the tint on my tail lights (VHT Nightshades ie wet sand them off) and the finished product is really cool because its not 100% gone so the tail lights are a slightly darker red. I think I'll post a picture of it today.

A little bit of a hint as to what my plan is...

Any body have an idea as to what the factory nav unit with the dash and heater controls is worth?

Audio build has begun, the car has been in the shop for about half a week and should probably be about another 2 till it's done. Pictures and videos will be posted.

Alright I can't take it anymore haha, I'm not very good at this whole thing lol
I'm uploading pictures of the car so far in a couple minutes and as for other parts of my build I'm throwing out my broken ebay intake and replacing it with a custom 3 piece intake I bought off a member here!

Thats what I though at first as well but after seeing the mock up it's a perfect fit, I just have to relocate heater controls. On that note anyone have an opinion/idea as to where they would fit best?

Once we get the actual bezel and start piecing it together I'll give out more details about what we did, how we did it and why if needed.
There is going to be a decent amount of bump in my trunk so I'm making sure everything is really solid. Kinda going with that last part we are thinking about changing the speaker set up from 6.5 components in the front and 6x9's in the back to a better set of components up front and by-amping them and using the holes left over from the 6x9's to do a direct port into the car.
It seems like every day we are changing are minds and coming up with new ideas as to what I should do, lots of learning is happening though so I'm constantly intrugied.

Alright the basic dash is pretty much complete, all that's left now is some minor touch ups, paint and relocating the heater contols and hazard switch.

Jailbreak FTW!
By doing so I am able to do just as much if not more to the iPad as android users can do to theirs. I'm a pretty big boob when it comes to programming and stuff so I have safe guards in place to make sure I don't eff anything up but you can go as deep into it as re writing the programming. If your capable.

Looking nice. Cant wait to see the finished product. Do you have a 3/4g hotspot the iPad will connect to that will give it Internet access? The ipad vs android debate reminds of cnet already...

just saw your post in the Calgary thread and saw your MY BUILD thing and decided to click it and wow am I glad I did. This is awesome man. I was thinking how this would look like in my 3G but don't have enough money for someone to do it, nor enough skill for me to do it.

Will you be able to take it out when ever you want? How are you hooking this up to the sound system? And is that a 3g one? Because the 3G one would be sick. Can I ask why you chose to do it this way, and not sideways? Did it not fit sideways?

yup 3G, Canada doesnt have true 4G yet so couldn't go that route. But live streaming of basically anything haha

I'll be able to slide it in and out from the top, I wasn't to sure how it would look when we were still in the just talk phase but I'm super happy with how it looks. and we wanted to do it sideways but the dash just wasn't wide enough.

We are hooking it up via dock connector to USB to the cambride ID100, the most bad ass part about the ID100 is that I get optical out and my processor has optical in.

With the processor I'm putting in you can hook up a changer through AI net (I think I'm not 100% sure if thats the correct port, but there is a port where I can hook up an old changer if I wanted CD) if I were to do that I think I'd try and build the cd input behind the ipad, but I have no need for CD's because I can just stream any music I want.
