Sold the CL, one last tribute

It's been here a good 5 years here. Had a lot of fun. I will still lurk here and there probably in the OT forums. I will come back to see the fresh new crowd of 16 year olds coming on here. Hope the OG's hold it down. Oh well, here's my progress throughout:

1st CL

Test fitting on the C2's (18x8 +50 offset)

On the car

Volk Racing GTP (18x7.5 +45 offset)

Sold it, next kid totaled it after 5,000 miles

2nd CL

Lowered it on the 2001 CL-S wheels

Threw on C2's

Got new C2's

Picked up some 5Zigen FN01R-C (18x7.5 +48 offset)

Sold those and got some Racing Hart C5 3 piece (18x8 +50 offset)

Back to stock

Hey Don, what's the difference between the two sets of C2's you had? Was one set in better shape?

Thanks everyone for the kind words. Either a G35 or a GS300. I love the E46 M3's but I'm not a fan of BMW's interiors. They are kind of plain.

I was thinking of picking up another CL this time around with Navi and lower miles but seems like the resale values make it a no-go. Like I said on another thread, took me 2 months to sell mine for $12k and a buddy of mine just picked up an '03 CL 6-speed mint condition for $11k clear title with navi.

Whatever I pick up, I will try to pick up a beater Legend so I can roll to the Acura meets in style.

in this case, if you were to pick up an 03/navi, it probably wouldnt depreciate much in the next few years...most of the depreciation has already happened...

Not sure if you're shopping coupes, but the upcoming Audi A5 looks nice in and out. I agree, BMW interiors are sad. I find Lexus kinda boring, and Infiniti, it;s ok.

Yea, only reason I got an '03 6 speed was because of the tranny problems. Otherwise, I would have kept the '01. Yeah, original 19" SSR Professor SP1. I'll have better pictures later.

that fitment is a bit disappointing.

Work S1 fitment > those SSR Professors.

Yeah, but I paid REAL cheap for brand new wheels with brand new Nitto tires. Once I sell these, I'll probably go back to mesh and pick up some VS-XX. The wheels were made for Brembo clearance so smaller lip. However, I'll be able to market them to a bigger crowd.

Also, I wanted to be different also. Everyone on G35driver has the Work S1 3 pc and 2pc. I would rather have something else that everyone and their mom isn't rolling on. Only one other guy I know of has the SSR and it's the silver finish.

i guess i wish everyone on here was rolling on something in that realm. i'm so tired of seeing these knock-off wheels thrown onto our cars.

i'm sure you'll change wheels soon enough. i was just messin' wit ya. have fun w/ ur new ride.
