Post pics of M5 Lip Spoiler
I'm trying to decide which rear spoiler I want to go with.. either stock version or M5 Lip spoiler. In my area, there's no one with M5 Lip spoiler so I've only seen it thru few pictures. If you have one, please post your pic!! Thanks
Advices will be appreciated!!

Not the best pix but you get the idea. Honestly, stay away from the OEM. The M5 lip just fits the sleek flow of the CL better, but still breaks the sight line in the back. I think its probably cheaper too.

well if we just swapped, all you would need to do is unbolt your mufflers, ship em to me, and I send you my mufflers and they just bolt right up. The tips are already welded on, so you wouldn't have to do anything except bolt up the mufflers. I don't want to crap up this thread, but if you're interested at all, shoot me a PM.

Yea the genuine ones are the way to go. I have never heard anyone having a problem with that. Don't get the replica, just get one from junior. Service was great and fast shipping The install was very straight forward and fits perfect. IMO the ebay replica ones do not cut it

I dont know about that man. I have heard nothing but problems with the replicas- popping off, hard to fit, paint doesnt bond.

Great thread, and great pix, guys. This question has been very much on my mind. I'm curious, though; has anyone found any other lip spoiler that fits our 3.2 CLs? Something just slightly "heavier" than the very subtle M5 spoiler, like this '04 TL lip spoiler:
In any case, should I take whatever style lip spoiler to, say, Maaco to be painted? Or should I only count on an Acura dealership's body shop? Or DIY?

I dont know of any other spoilers that members have tried other than the m5 and the OEM. I imagine there is probably SOMETHING out there that is similar.
As far as the paint, stay away from maaco. Just call around to a couple local shops and get price quotes. Just make sure you have your VIN number so they can color match it. Then you could give them your engine bay too and have them color match that. I got my lip and engine bay for $110, which is pretty good.

anyone got the measurements for this lip spoiler?? i got a 1st gen and i know the m5 fits perfect on the 2nds, but im lookin for something for my trunk besides the wings-west retarded handle type-R bullshit and the OEM one.... and there's nothing else out there. i was lookin around ebay and saw replicas made to fit 5 different applications.... but if the genuine one is better, i was wondering how long it is ...
anyone?? TIA.

i doubt it will look good/fit well on the 1st gen. the 1st gen trunk isnt rounded well enough for a good fit. you can try though. probably be the first to have one
