Pics of smoked headlights
Hey i been trying to find any pics of a CLS with Smoked headlights. All i can find is smoked tailights. I think blacked out headlights would look really mean on a Black CLS. Something like this maybe?
Anyone find any for a CL-S?

Experimented on a spare set of headlights on my 2003 MR2...looks okay but drastically cuts down the clarity/brightness of the light beam(had 6k hid's). Plus the 03 cl's already had black housing. Eventually I switched back to stock

Acuraclr, lemme see if I can post pics...the way I had it done was by a shop that did custom lifted/lowered trucks my buddy worked at. It's actual paint/sanding/buffing/clearcoat.
Becareful with the lamin X. Those film tints with prolonged sun/heat exposure tend to develop a yellow haze. Similar to oxidation

My MR2 before the smoked headlights:
^Factory chrome reflectors and such inside, wasnt that bad but wanted a contrast against the white paint
After the smoked out treatment:
Notice how in 1st pic you cant even really see my amber blinkers. Its worst at night even with my 6k HIDs (cant imagine with the stock h7 halogens)
Knew it wasnt right taking away a lot of night time visibility (plus the uncle ben's instant rice factor) I heat gun'd the spare lights, chose a trim paint thats like flat black but with a nice satin look and hint of clearcoat shine. Painted the housing and re sealed the lights (ignore the damage caused my a bicyclist trying to beat the red light and slammed into the side of my front end
^with just the housing painted, i was able to get the look that i wanted AND without the sacrifice of dim headlight beams

Black housed >>>> tinted headlights
Unfortunately, you can't black house the 03 lights since they already have the black bezel. You can, however, remove the amber diffuser and get creative with the turn signal reflectors, which will cut down on the "brightness" of the front end, but not actually cut down on its effectiveness.
