is that the dealerships plate bracket on the front? if it is i would take it back and complain that they tore up the bumper. they would prob repaint it for free.

Im not the original owner and it was originally purchased in maryland. I live in denver. I doubt my dealership would pay for that

it looks like your dealership put that on there, and you can complain that you didnt want that mounted there, it wouldnt hurt to try. you would be surprised what dealerships would do to make the customer happy.

Ya but it would have been the original dealership on the other side of the country. I have only used my dealership once.

No. The bracket was there i just put the frame on. Im assuming the original dealership put the bracket on. The original owner was a middle aged women. She was probably more prone to follow the front license plate laws. I might have it touched up cause I like it with out the plate

I ordered a front plate holder from Acura when I first got my car. The damn thing looked like a serving tray from a 747. I demanded my money back on the spot in the service department. I rigged up my own little deal, which I think looks better than having a front plate holder. The plate looks like it's just floating there.

Gee, really?

I don't plan on entering my car in the Indianapolis 500 anytime soon. I think the car will be okay. If I have any problems I'll let ya know.

Overheated CLS.

I only have 73,000 miles on my CLS and I regularly maintain my baby. For some reason it overheated today and I can't figure out why.

Why?

P.S.

Is this the right thread to post my problem?

Yes. I understand now. You're in charge of harrassing people that don't abide by the guidelines of modifying their Acura automobiles as you specified, since you're the executive engineer in charge of creating modifications criteria and design specifications for aftermarket products that are shipped directly from Japan.

Thanks for the heads up. I already forwarded cltypeSLOW's message to the moderators. If there's anything I hate is a coward.

typeSLOW's message:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

if you knew anything about modding cars then you would know that his junk parts from ebay are shit, and the megan racing headers he used for downpipes are absolutely shit.

when his car is falling appart and his motor is shot my car will still be clean as hell with quality parts across the board.

grow up old man. dont complain because your tacky chrome licenseplate holder looks like shit on your car.

This is the second kid that has questioned me about not knowing about modifying cars. It's funny - really it is. No disrespect to the guys that put in their hard time modifying their Acuras but I prefer my Acura to be stock. I reserve modifications to my 69' Camaro and this ain't no musclecar discussion board.

you probably could use your 6" buffer but i don't think you need it for wet sanding the head lights. in fact i think it would be better by hand so that the paper curves to the lights more. the buffer could help when you go to put on some plastic rubbing compound and wax though. good luck and btw nice car!

and the only type of buffer you will ever want to use is random orbit, anything from a little hand held 6" to the nice big porter cable.
