New Pics of my CL-S

Here is a few photos I took today, clayed and waxed it last night and feels sooo smooth now. Enjoy! Mods are Aem Cold Air Intake, Comptech headers (recently thermocoated) and Comptech Axle Back exhaust. I should be slapping on a Comptech charger in a few weeks, I cant wait for that! The rims are Axis Supermesh (lips recently sanded and polished for mirror finish) 19x8.5 et 40 wrapped with 235/35 Toyos P4 (fenders rolled and bumber tab cut, no rubbing problems, except on really hard bumps). Suspension is Tein SS and brakes are Brembo front and rear cross-drilled and slotted rotors. News pics will be posted next week for a new front lip from a TL and painted mud guards.

Looks sick. Loving the wheels. I would never go with that size I had rubbing issues on my 00 TL-p with the first set of wheels I had and it drove me crazy. So after that I said I would never even dare to be a outcast when it came to wheel size. But after looking at your setup its making me wanna consider some Axis wheels so I can have that sick lip.

Thanks bro, I was hesitant about the size and fitment to until I test fitted on the car at my friends wheel shop. I was looking for the agressive look. The tire wear is going to kill me though because of the negative camber. Oh well, its the price I'll have to pay to keep this look. I really dont have rubbing issues. I rubs a little on hard bumps, but no scrapes or anything on the tire.

THe wheels are 19X8.5 with a 40et and 235/35 tires. The wheels have a indentation for that Axis logo on the lip. You can take off the logo and replace it a sticker of your choice, which is what I was thinking about doing.

Nice look very classy! Just curious do you think in your opinion having 19's it would be possible to pull of 20's, still have decent ride and maintain a classy look?

Looks great man! Im not a fan of the mud guards, though. Thats the only thing I would have taken off.

Camber is not that bad at all. Don't expect there to be a huge difference in tread wear.

I think today is the nicest day so far. 70 degrees, a nice breeze, clear sky, perfect for the beach! I dont think I've ever leave Tampa!! The only downside is the prices for homes are going up too fast!! Makes it harder for the younger people to buy homes here.

Thanks bro, before trading the car in, I was going to throw a comptech charger on it, but it had about 140,000 miles on it. The only bad thing about trading the car in was the goods I had in it. Whoever bought the car (probably an auction) ended up HID's for the headlights and foglights, a sweet sound system (Alpine deck and full component Rockford Fosgate speakers), Tein coilovers, and front and rear sway bars. Funny thing, I still have a spare key and alarm remote. :thief: j/k

They were 19X8 Katana Inspire. I loved those wheels. I had so many compliments on them. I would have kept them, but they were 4 lug.

In my opinion 19's are the perfect size, but 20's will fit. As far as keeping the classy look, it all depends on the look of the wheel. IMO mesh style or multi spoke wheels or some 5 spoke wheels look classy, no chrome (no offense to anyone with chrome wheels). I usually like wheels without the lip, but mesh wheels with the lip have always been my favorite wheel (HRE especially). I really wanted to get Axis Penta but the highest offset was 38. THeres nothing like stock wheels for ride quality. If you want the classy look and keep some of the ride quality, then goes with 19's or smaller. Riding on 19's is still a little ruff, but 20's would be even worse. If its a size issue, then go with 19's without a lip.

Yes, I have the Tein Coilovers on the CL-S. Awesome ride. I have them almost on full stiff to keep the car from rubbing alot and IMO it still rides good.
