hey tall boy how did you black out the chrome trim? did you paint it or replace it?

i left the original chrome trim on the car and applied this tape over the trim. bought it at my local hardware store. went back a few days ago to see if they had anymore, but they're out.

just did this in ~30 minutes... the tape is the perfect width, no need for trimming. it stuck pretty good for electrical tape. i guess i'll have to check up on it every day for a few days to see how it holds up. first wash will be tomorrow. pics....

I'm down for that. I want to see how tacky it is. If I ever have to pull it off, I don't want there to be a clumpy PITA residue.

I had some of that tape and found it at the local Mejier store, thats been the only place ive seen it...it was in with the auto section like with the cans of touch up paint and stuff like that.


And for the guys that have done this.....i never had, how did you cut it to make it fit right? Can you give some more detailed directions on how you installed it??
