My Turn to Reminisce....
Its been a while since I had a build thread for the CL. So I figured I'd just highlight some of the stuff Ive done to her during the course of ownership.
Bought her August 8th 2008 with 56k miles on the clock. One owner, never smoked in, no accidents. She was clean:
My very first mod was the 8G Accord shift knob.
Then I dropped it and got some wheels.
Installed my sub.
Got different wheels.
Built the engine:
Got different wheels:
Changed the dash color:
Get different wheels:
Ditched the spoiler:
And finally, how she sits in my driveway:
She had 161k miles the last time I drove her, back in May. Thats 48k on the motor. Im going to drive her through the winter, and come spring time, the part out begins.

The pioneers came before me. I was just following in their footsteps. I appreciate the compliment though.
Im not out of the J series game, just the CL game.

Damn if you leave, who can I trust for answers?? Seriously, you've been an awesome resource to so many on this forum. You will be missed, once you finally break your Acurazine addiction
Thanks for all you've contributed and most of all, thanks for the wheels!!

Its a 3.6l, built December 2009. Theres nothing wrong with the engine, but Im sick of constantly replacing broken mounts and axles. I dont want to drop $900 on custom axles either since Id still be stuck with FWD and its just not fun to drive anymore. Ive got the FR-S which is definitely slower in a straight line, but its the most fun Ive had behind the wheel of a car. I also want to finish my Civic, so that will be the track car. The CL is the odd man out.
Im on my netbook right now and Ive got all the mods listed in a document on my desktop, so Ill post them up later.

I say this becos I am looking fwd to doing the similar work prob a 3.5l but does that mean i will be breaking axles and engine mounts all day ?
That would be bad becos i wud want it as a daily driver also.

As of now, yes.
I beat on the car a lot. But, Ive been driving my other car exclusively since the end of May. The CL has just sat. I guess its my way of seeing if I really need the car, and it seems as though I dont. No sense spending the money on insurance, property tax and registration fees

Beautiful Cl
Hello all, i'm new to this forum, graduated from team-integra forums. I now own a 2003 CL-S six speed. I have to say OP, your CL is beautiful. I agree with everyone, please post a parts list! I'm inspired to make a DIY intake like yours. Please make a list of the parts that were required to make it if ya don't mind >
My current plan is to remove the resonator (already done), remove the square filter, and attatch a pipe with a filter to the bottom of the air box, but your intake looks so clean.
Keep up the good work!
Oh yeah if you have any youtube clips of your exhaust sound or intake sound please link us

Wish we could convince you to keep the CL... but it's understandable.
Hope you can post up the Civic build so we can follow. Sounds awesome.
So will the FR-S be powering it through winter 2013/14?

I know what you mean. The CL really is an awesome commuter car and you dont see many out there. If I never got it, I never would have seen the awesomeness of the J series, and most importantly, I never would have gotten the chance to be a part of the AZine community
