147 mph AT Cl-S limit???? Um I hit 155 in Mine 
, she is bone stock and AT. New tranny in her. Hit that Speed about two weeks ago here In CO on a open County Road. Dnt think ill go that fast again(was new to me and just had to test her). Saw a guy here who took a [pic of him hitting 150 Mph. That Pretty crazy, but if i had a passenger with me i would have made them take a pic as proof. Would love a 6spd.

Mr.Civic... I Sh*t U not man.. Did On Quincy Road PAss e-470 Here iN CO. Road has Hilis and dips. All Straight for like 20Miles no1 insight. DAm Speedo! Dnt think ill do it again, but if i did u was Got a better more accurate to mark Speed?? GPS??

Yes, GPS speed is the most accurate.
Hey, next time you do it, make sure you have three passengers in the car and make sure they all take a picture of the speed with the flash on. That way no one here can dispute your obituary!

I dunno when i first got my CL-s me and 3 of my boys where comming from rutgers new brunswick and as soon as we got on the turnpike i gunned (they where all taunting me saying my car got no balls, and that i overpayed for my accord) so I gunned it and the speedo kept hitting 147 in 4th gear (i dont remember if it was 4700 or 5700 RPM's but i kept tring to go over 147 and it kept bouncing off the limiter i guess, maybee the newer models are limited to go faster .. I got my CL in March 2000 so it was one of the first built and it was still on its first tranny... I will never do that again, Like I said I was YOUNG AND STUPID!!

in my auto 02 tls i hit 152/153 till i let off the gas. in 4th gear at about 5800rpm, dont know if i can go any further. didnt have the balls back then and had a passenger. but 153ish is possible. ppl say that in the 6spd its limited to 147-148mph

Civic: Lol No way Man,wont do that with 3 people in my car. Dnt want to hold there lives in my hands. If i die i die Alone. But i will Mount a Camera in car behind driver to get a good Shot At speedo 
. NAw Just Messin Guys.. Got My Car in Later Febuary and hit that Speed in Mid-March. was Told By Mile High Acura that Tranny was put in About early January. As For RPM's Did not see, Just Gunned it and looked down when car started to get all loose on me. Thats when I slow my azz Down. But if I ever feel the Need for Speed i will strap a gps on and buckle my azz up lol

why has no one mentioned the fact that it's physically impossible for wheel hop to increase OR not decrease ones potential excelleration?

You roast ur tires so they STICK TO THE GROUND.
On FWD cars like ours it'll be less of a difference cause u got the weight on the HOP... but rwd is light night and day
Remember wheel hop isn't the same as wheel spin. with wheel spin you could still get the fastest time, with wheel HOP the tires are not touching the ground so then you must ask yourself...
HOW do you think your going faster when your tires touch the ground for less time than if you were NOT to wheel hop?
I'd say hmmmmm... that would be defying the laws of simple physics.
And even though I got an auto cl-s so this doesn't "technically" apply to me, my prior car was stick for 4.5 years fully n/a modded and all I did was rip it to shreds, so I know a thing or 2 about making up time.
Wheel hop is balls either way it's slower and it's bad for ur trans and axle bearings. you really should try to avoid it for ur cars sake 1st and for your 0-60 time. You can't lose
Ur only 18, so you got ample time for improvement dude, there's no rush.
