My 2001 CL Type S 6 M/T (work in progress)
I've been a member for a little while and I normally browse this site for research and ideas. Well I think its about time I post up a few pictures of my work in progress. Im still in the process of changing out the interior from tan to black.
I purchased this car for $3200 with a harsh shifting transmission last year in June with the intention of converting it to a 6 speed. The mileage was 113k miles.
This is my 2nd 6 speed swap that I have done.
The first was my J32A2 swapped 99 Accord Coupe pictured right below

Thanks
This time around I decided to do it the right way. I eneded up purcahsing the 03 CLS6 ecu, engine harness, front cam gear, cam gear plate, cam sensor, carnk sensor, crank gear, LOL everything that I read on the write up, I also had to change my dash A plug and convert it to the D plug that the 03 CLS6 uses. No check engine light, reverse works, tilt mirror works, automatic seat works. Lots of hours invested in this.
But one good thing is that I am Honda Technician at Checkered Flag Honda in Norfolk Virginia.
Reading schematics wasnt too bad. I printed lots of pages out of the service manuals from the Acura Dealer.

Hmmm I still need all the seats, door panels, inside quarter panels, inside rear deck, armrest, headliner, c pillars, seat belts, lol almost everything.
Let me put it this way the only things I have is the Dash (out of a TL) and the carpet.

Let's get back on topic though, Type JDM should mimic your car so that they are identical. He already got the hard part of it over with lol

Wow that's rad. Now that you mention it, I just remembered that he gave the red CL to his brother. He still maintains it for him though. I actually just sent him a PM asking when he'll update the thread. Doubt I'll get a PM back from him for a while though

I actually like the way these rims sit on our CL's it's flush with body and not sunked in.
