Long time no update...

Well, the CL has been labeled as "sold" (to a friend) and will be heading over to his possession by early-mid October.

Having had a 99 Plymouth Breeze, 02 Kia Rio RX-V and having driven a 2008 Civic as well as a 2010 Rouge and to a lesser extent a 2012 Hyundai Accent, I can safely say that the CL was and is still (imho) the best car for the $$$$. When I have the money in the future I will be returning to an Acura.

But for now, a sub $900 beater will do for the winter months and then a 2011-2013 CBR250RA or a 2013 Ninja 300 in the spring .

I will still lurk the forums and post half-related replies.

TL;DR:

Sold Acura. Getting PoS for COLD. Getting murdercylce after.

Id suggest focusing your search towards used 250s. At least here in the states, resale on a new 250cc bike sucks. If you buy used, you dont take the hit and you won't lose a whole lot.

I want a 250RA or a Ninja with ABS, used ones rarely go on sale up here and when they do, they are often the same price as new. I'm not set on one over the other though since I am open to the best deal, not the shinier of the two

Thats not a bad price for a CL with a tainted history - you did say it was rebuilt, right?

It is a perfectly clear title, from the ins corp as well as multiple history reports. It never passed 70% market value in damage required, so it was never labeled a rebuilt.

I refused to buy any rebuilt vehicle up here after seeing the horrid hack-and-slash jobs done in Surrey and Richmond up here...
