I don't care about the style, those rims just simply don't fit. They aren't in proportion to the car.

I like big wheels as much as the next guy, but there is a limit to how big you can go, especially on a coupe.

Can the wheels even turn in the wheel wells?

but hey this is just my opinion, and what the fuck do I know.

if you like it thats all that matters.

You must have very smooth roads where you live...those rims would last about 10 minutes around here...

no one must have done there homework on cl's. people say 19" is as big as u can go with this car...but its not...if your talking about a 8" backspacing yes...but these rims are special order for cars just like this...20x7.5 bs. they do not rub at all, i CAN turn, go over bumps...anything you can do with 19" wheels.

actually you can put 20" rims on 2nd gen. CLs. if your talking about a 8" backspacing, then yes...they will rub. but these rims are 20x7.5, they dont make very many rims this size, which is why i had to go with these rims. i have absolutely no rubbing or anything, and no i dont really have smooth roads here...i could actually still drop the car an inch or inch 1/2 without any problem. they just extremely big because you dont really see it on many cl's.

It's widely known that you can fit 20s on the second generation CLs, but the thing is the car ends up riding much higher than it does on stock wheels or 19s so you get a 4X4 CL.

no one ever said you can't do it. hell, I could put a lift kit and monster truck tires on my cl if I really wanted to.

the issue is how big can you go before it looks dumb and/or your performance is severely affected.

I don't know how your performance is, but as for looks...well...have you looked at your own pics? it looks like a clown car.

props for the 20"s, but if you compare our car to the GS400 for example, the GS has a body made for 20" with the stubby front and rear overhangs and full body. the CL-S has a flatter body and longer overhangs kinda like a lincoln mark VIII, so the 20"s make the CL-S look taller which may or maynot be of your liking. but once again, it's your car and your decision...

If you are happy with it bro, more power to ya. Personally, 20's on a CL = negative, but again, that is my opinion. Your car is nice, but you would be much nice-r, with a set of badass 19's and a nice drop.
