Is there any easy way to do the "reflection" or "mirror" effect in Photoshop?

it doesnt seem that hard to do, copy the image, flip it vertically, turn the opacity down and erase what needs to be erased

just use a large eraser brush with soft "faded" edges, or a large white paint brush if your ground is white
