The 2nd picture looks like the trim and door handle is painted black. Is that a hard job to do? What kind of paint you think i would have to use?

 

I think its a tape that you buy off like amazon or something...?

 

In the picture it looks good, but i dont think black tape on the car would look good.

It looks just fine, many of us have done it. It's trim tape, meant for the application.

Search "T9005 tape" on Amazon for anyone interested.

Na, you can buy replacement door handles for I think like $30 each, color matched.

The tape looks fine, the surface is just like weatherstripping so it blends nicely. It looks as good as you can cut it basically. Mine isn't 100% straight, but for how minuscule the defects are in the cut job, the overall look is totally worth it. Then again, my car is black, and this mod completed the black look.

 

 

Where do i get these black door handles? Does the 2003 model come with black ones?

or sand/primer/black gloss spray can. Mine is over a year old and it still looks at home.

Paint - Maybe he scratched it while waxing it. Maybe bird crap ate the paint away (like on mine).

Knob - I went through 3 in 100k miles, all ended up looking like that one.

Im sure your car is fine dude. Dont let people scare you off!

 

the only thing scaring me so far is piro's icon. upon looking more closely at that section of the car... i think whoever took off the "3.2 CL" brought some of the paint with it. and as far as the knob.. leather isn't the most resilient substance there is. and once it starts to wear like that, the dekay is pretty exponential. hell, if i had owned this car the entire time, my clammy hands would have probably made it worse than that.

great pics; i absolutely hate that the chrome door handles though stick out like a sore thumb on your side shots (nothing to offset it liek silver or chrome wheels); too expensive to just paint the damn handles by themselves thouhg =p
