Got the magnaflows installed. Got a question too
Here is some cell phone pics of the magnaflow 14832 mufflers I got installed on my stock cat-back. I left everything stock including the resonator. I don't have a sound clip, but these are barely louder then the stock mufflers, if at all. I was thinking about taking the stock resonator out, but don't want it to sound raspy. Right now it's got a nice deep growl to it paired with my headers.
Here is where I have a question. The installer did a great job making the tips even, but the right can is slightly slanted while the drivers side can is level. Look at the pic and you will notice the muffler is angled and you can see a gap inbetween the bumper cutout and muffler can. Should I take it back and have it fixed or just leave it? You really can't notice it unless you are down on the ground looking straight at the exhaust. I do plan to lower my car...soon
Critizism and positive comments welcome!
BTW, I had this done at Fred's Muffler. They said to let them know if I had any problems and seem to have great customer service...thats why I'm debating going back to have this small mistake fixed...just not sure if it's too small of a deal to even bother

I did them with no resonator and 2.14 tubes and it vibrated the car and made the seatbelt vibrate my hip like my phone was on vibrate. It was also very loud. I installed a resonator and it sounds great and does not vibrate the car.

yeah. make sure u get them to fix the way ur mufflers sit. I was being a pain in the ass for the guy who installed mine, but they're are still very slightly off.
also, i'd like to see how it sounds w/o the resonator.

Well they are starting to get louder now after breaking them in for a few days...I'm not gonna remove the resonator. My gf says it sounds louder outside the car and I am starting to hear a definate change inside the car :-)
These tips are 4"...same as a 350z. They are big tips, but IMO are by no means fart cans. Plus the cans and bumper cutouts make them look like they aren't too big. I've got nothing, but compliments and I even tell people not to lie and tell me straight up what they think

Personally I like the tips of the 14832's which I just bought...kinda was the whole reason I bought them. I also think dual tips look awsome and very unique...I'de probly go that route if you don't like the 14832 tips

If you want I can get you a clip of mine, i have one saved on photobucket somewhere. I had the HKS dragger kit no resonators, headers + cai. HKS are also somewhat deep like the MF

Hey 02CLtypes.
How long are your mufflers. I think I want to get some, but I don't want them hacking up my stock mufflers.
Do you think there is a way to make these mufflers into an axleback?

I had my my exhaust cut right before the flange where the muffler bolts on to the stock axle back. They made a 2 to 2.5" converter and welded the muffler onto the custom piping...onto the stock piping.
The reason I had this done is b/c the stock mufflers are angled slightly outward and then the tips angle inward to make the exhaust look straight. You could buy some mandrel bent piping and have them make a flange so you don't have to cut or weld onto your stock exhaust, but the mufflers will be anlged.

Gonna cost to catch up
I have the same mufflers and removed the resonator cause it was barely any different from stock. There is some raspyness but its really not that bad and sounds good to me. I say do it, you will like the sound.
