Fresh Drop - Please Advise- Can I Go Lower??
here are a few pics of the CL with a 2 finger drop...
2 fingers from rubber to metal...
the front looks ok, but the back looks a little jacked still... the back is still only 2 fingers gap, but it just looks bigger i guess...
the rims are a +45 offset, and i have 235/35 - 19s on the car...
please advise as to what i can do to make the bacl gap smaller...
i have the tein basic coilover kit on the car, so it is fully adjustable...
please respond with suggestions...

thanks for the replies...
so one person likes the drop and another says go lower on the back...
what am i to do????
it is true that i can adjust the back height, but when i do work on cars they usually fall apart, so i will most likely go to the tuner shop down the street and get it dropped a bit more...
the guy there that did the drop liked it because he said it looked a but more aggressive with the front lean.
lemee know, more feedback please...

the teins should have came with a tool to adj the coilovers...just jack your rear up a little bit, and adj the coilovers...they should have came with some sort of manual as how to do it exactly. Im not saying that the drop doesnt look bad, its just that i think it would look better with an even drop , oh well, just wait for some more replies as to what other ppl have to say
btw, nice wheels

Let the springs settle for a while, then make a decision.

ok, i am getting alot of love on the drop, but as you may notice, the rear is jacked up a bit higher than the front...
i actually like the staright across look, but if you guys think it looks good, then i will follow the democracy that is ACL.COM..
i will wait for the springs to settle as was suggested, but i may wanna go a bit lower in the rear...
just my current feeling....
thanks so much for all the posts, i do feel a bit better about the look of the drop now...

put a couple of people in your back seat and go drive around for a bit... if it doesnt rub... then you are good to go... meaning you can lower it more and it wont rub. i would lower it to hte point where there is 0 gap.
also, it might be trouble when it snows... buts thats the best thing about coilovers.... you can raise them up! its very easy... do it yourself.

It definitely looks good, you could probably go a little lower without trouble. I am running 245/35/18 with a 2'' drop on my 01 CLS and I think I could still go another inch or two lower, or get bigger rims.

Leave it. Looks perfect. Any lower and it will start to look ghetto. And if you want to ghetto, you may have gotten a Civic. We are talking an Ac CL here which has a lot of class. Don't ruin it by going overboard. Being different doesn't always equal being better.
