I like how it's all in the middle. I think it looks better that way.

I also disconnect the them off of their mounts and hide them in my glove box if i leave my car in a parking lot

Anyone with a brain will know what the suction cup mounts are for and realize that you have a radar detector.

I would really love to see that setup I had two radar detectors in my life time (BTW there Illegal in Canada to use them, but not to have them) I was very carful with them made sure to turn them off and take them down when ever they went off and also mounted them where they were really hard too see never got caught with them

I let my friend borrow them both time and he got caught with them both times and they got taken away(BTW my friend is a bit of a moron) anyways I would really like to see you set up

I like the radar detector and GPS but isnt a bit in the way

yea ill take a pic of it tomorrow. my concealer is not really "concealed" to where nobody can see it... i dont know what type of deck you have, but i have an alpine and i needed to purchase the bracket to fit the deck in, and on the bottom of the bracket there is an extra slot there, so my concealer sits in there PERFECTLY. i originally had it above my steering column, but it looked ugly...so i ran all my wires from my drivers side fuse box all the way to the top visor where i have the actual radar detector sitting, then split the connection up to the concealer having the wires go under the steering wheel. i can easily take off my rd when i leave the car.

I had a really cheap cobra 120usd and I just used it on the high way it worked awesome because in canada they dont put alot of R&D into radar guns so there is only three bans only 1 laser and on top of that they dont turn them off for the most part

I just put mine on when I was speeding and as soon as it starts beeping or whatever just unplug and take it down I actually had mine hard wired to a switch so it wa easier to turn it off

BTW my buddy tried to smuggle one in and he got caught and they "we dont give a shit your allowed to have them and besides its not our law to enforce"

No, but just being aware of my surroundings keeps me out of trouble. I look for signs for cops. I usually speed by 10-15 over. When I do get pulled over, its usually from something much, much bigger.

Looking good man. I had a Escort X50 in my CL-S. Too bad I got a ticket for 17 over because I thought I was invincible

They are great for general radar use but I got hit with a laser. As soon as my detector went off and all of the lights lit up, the cop was already turning around to come and get me.

Also you'll get sick of it going off everytime you pass a store with those automatic opening doors.

Mine has 3 different city modes to choose from and one of them sets it to be less sensitive so it won't detect anything small.

I usually still keep it on the regular setting though just to be safe

yea...everyone has their diff opinions on the rd's... thats why i purchased both the 9500ix and the V1.... but i ended up keeping the v1 since i liked the arrows and i rather have it go off to alert me of something then have the 9500ix lock me out automatically. just turn the mode to "L" mode on the v1 it will quiet down.

they look pretty good but they still have to be up in the window, do they work well through tint cause my last one didnt

I made an eyebrow on the top of my windshied to cover it then cut a hole where my radar detector was worked really well, couldnt see it at all from out side

I wish they were legal in Canada cause I love them one because they help you not get caught speeding and two I like to play with them LOL

that photo came out real nice. did you run your wire from the passenger side? what did you tap into?

i ran mine from the drivers fuse box and tapped it to the sideview mirror power. you should get a concealed display
