Concept CL-6 GT from RonJon
what do you guys think, a list of my future mods to complete the CL, overkill or nice?
here's the list:
1.) Legend GT wheels in 18"
2.) red reflective pinstripe (vinyl)
3.) Matte anthracite lower vintil strip to accent the lower skirt
4.) cleared headlights
5.) tokico Yellow shocks ( a little lower ride height and stiffer rate)
6.) sways
7.) tinted tailights
8.) OEM rear spoiler with clear LED 3rd Brake light
9.) possibly 6 lb boost pulley
concept PS:
I'm dubbing it the Concept CL-6 GT

upgrade
im curious if the pinstripe could be a tad thicker. so its more like a stripe (like an inch to inch and a half) i think that would set off a more aggressive tone overall on the car. pretty damn sexy tho!

Yea I'm not feeling the red strip.
silver might go better with your fogs.
Keep the rims black but a nice chrome lip and a silver pinstripe might look better...just my

pinstripe looks pretty bad.
but in general the car looks nice. which is why i would NOT dub it a 'GT' because that tends to apply more go than show. i understand you have the blower, but if i saw a car like that on the street i would not think it is much more than a show car.
IMO - get some lighter wheels on it, do a one off carbon fiber kit, carbon fiber hood/trunk, and of course some coilovers, then you will get my approval as a GT.

Just the look I'm working to achieve. Wife already thinks I'm insane because of what I've spent on the car and I still need to get more expensive pieces (RonJon's body kit, carbon fiber hood, BBK, boost). Wait 'til she finds out what the paint will cost!

well, the wheels are going to be 18" x 8.0" Legend GT black with redline wheels, 22.5 lbs. Pretty lightweight considering the stock 17" x 7.0" weigh a few lbs more.
I figured the car would have that kind of name due to the wheels. And I hear you on the Carbon fiber, but I really don't like CF, little too racy. I think I'm going to leave the redline stripe for last, but I think it'll lokm fine once its executed in real life, after all, it'll match the BBK and wheels.

For a Low Pressure cast wheel with the same design and cost, thats very light.

Car looks sick but I agree about the wheel thing. When i bought my wheels for the TL a while back i was looking at weight first, looks second. I decided on some Centerlines which were 17lbs for an 18" and very affordable.

as for rondy's CL, i think you're better off without any vinyl or pinstriping at all... it's too distracting.

If you're not planning on tracking your CL than CF body panels and light weight rims are not necessary. Car looks clean, but not a fan of the pinstripe.

i like the look of the car now with the silver rims, since i do not like black rims all that much. but with the red in stripe and the the red lip around the rims, tying it in with the BBK would look hot. looks like time attack style. just a small red stripe though
either way looks good, i would have a hard choice choosing.
either style though i think molding the kit on the car would make it look like very good.

I'm not digging the look in that pic, i like your current setup better. If you want a pin stripe, keep the liquid silver legends (i believe you took a shoot w/ those), and put a silver pin stripe .

1.) Legend GT wheels in 18" -- No
2.) red reflective pinstripe (vinyl) -- Definately No
3.) Matte anthracite lower vintil strip to accent the lower skirt -- Yes
4.) cleared headlights -- Yes
5.) tokico Yellow shocks ( a little lower ride height and stiffer rate) --
6.) sways -- Definately Yes
7.) tinted tailights -- Yes
8.) OEM rear spoiler with clear LED 3rd Brake light -- Yes
9.) possibly 6 lb boost pulley -- Yes
I like how the car looks now. With the red accents, i think its going to be too busy looking even though its just actually not much. I think the car with the bodykit is just right - very clean looking and you get to appreciate the car. With the concept rendition, the first thing i see is the red stripes, then the black wheels, then the car.

I thought the stock 17X7.0s weighed in at 20lbs.
