Blacked-out lights

Blacked out my lights but decided to leave the high beam chrome and went with a metallic black color.

in addition I changed my grilles to black and outlined the road lamps with some black vinyl to try to get a more sleeker look

when you were painting the chrome parts, you mention you left out the high beam part..how did you mask it? ive tried all types of different tape but most of em resulted in a bit of the chrome stripping off. did you have that problem? if not, what type of masking did you use

Yea I did them myself, I used some pinstripe tape on the edges of the area I didn't want painted and then used some blue masking tape, which I stuck on my shirt to catch some lint so it wouldnt be so sticky, overall I didnt have any problems with the chrome coming off.

took about 6 hours, hardest part was masking it off just right
taking off the light is the easy part about 20 min.
I used dipli color Graphite textured metallic coating

Hey man, I really want blacked out headlights on my 01 Type-S but I cant afford the 2003 headlights. Is it hard to do it yourself, or does anyone know of some Shops in the Atlanta/Alpharetta that could do it (and how much a shop might charge?)????
