Alright, I tried searching on this, but didn't seem to find anything, which is odd. i thought everyone and they're dog would want to do this considering the tranny problems with the CL-S.

So, has anyone on here attempted to convert an auto 2nd gen to a 6spd? any problems? what's the cost...

I am currently contemplating picking up an 01 or 02 Type-S, but now that i'm reading about all these tranny problems, it makes me very worried about buying one without a full warranty. How many of the tranny's actually die? are there any good ones out there?

If i buy a Type-S with an auto with plans to do a 6spd swap when the tranny goes out am i being stupid?

Just buy a used 6 speed.

 

I am cool with the guys at ferman and they told me that it would be so expensive to do that it would be cheeper to take the loss on the trade in. Something about it has completly different mounts and stuff. Plus it would void your warantee if you care about that or not.
