19" Chrome Axis Hagens installed on Sundance Gold CL-S *pics*

Got the wheels installed today and took a few shots. The Tein SS Coilovers are getting installed tomorrow so don't worry, we won't be riding around in the 4x4 very long

Anyways, here's some pics of Dave aka ysr72champ's '01 CL-S and a few with my car mixed in as well. Some of you guys may remember this car from a thread I posted with pics of his car with $14k+ in damages. Also a pic of his car without the wheels.

looks good, i have seen your boy's car on these boards before. That last pic saved your ass from the "drop it" comments. post pics when installed, and slam that thing to the ground.

Thanks guys. He's happy with the look, but EXTREMELY upset with these wheels that he purchased of a member on here (no names mentioned - but check the classifieds). One was completely trashed and WELDED on the inner lip and doesn't hold air. He was also not made aware of the quality, or lack of quality in this particular rim. He's basically out $1k+ and will not try to sell these as he isn't going to stick someone else with a set of pretty much useless wheels. He's calling RonJon today to most likely order a set of new wheels. Also, the car is currently at the shop getting the Teins installed. More pics will come after the Teins are installed and the OEM wheels are back on. He doesn't really feel like carrying around an airtank and filling the damaged wheel every day.

could you get some pics of the wheel not being good quality. i really liked these wheels but if they dont look good, as far as build quailty, adios axis!!! do they just look kinda cheap or is because the were used previously.

It's not the build quality that is the issue. One was damaged quite badly and it wasn't really disclosed.

So who would win in a race, the maxima or the CL? I know you guys have ran before, on the parkway from a roll or something.

Dave says that my car is more responsive and pulls harder than his CL, but after driving both of them, I'd say if we went from a roll, it'd be pretty even. Thanks for helping him out with the order today, Ron. I think Dave's going to be happier with the wheels he ordered from you today.

Well, today we picked the car back up after having 4 new 225/35/19 Toyo Prox 4's installed. Turns out that 3 out of 4 of the wheels are bent in one place or another, but none bad enough that they won't hold air. My buddy settled everything with the seller and is just trying to forget about what a mess this whole ordeal has been. He basically has lost faith in all internet buying at this point. But here are a few pics of the car today after the Tein SS Coilovers were installed. It's a bit overcast here today, so they aren't the best pics.

Thanks for the replies fellas. He drove the car to Pennsylvania and back over the weekend for a YSR race, and didn't have any issues with the wheels/tires. He also stated that the car feels great with the new suspension setup.

He's not thrilled with the overall condition of the wheels, but the air leak was due to a broken bead on a couple of the tires. Whomever installed them, didn't do a very good job.

Just received the Nuespeed catback today and will probably be getting installed sometime this week. I'm sure we'll take some pics during/after the installation. The OEM exhaust components will shortly be for sale as well. He'll also be selling the Thermal R&D mufflers.
