If i remember correctly its about 206 hp @ the wheels. Due to the slushbox and the new SAE standards that drop our cars hp rating to 253hp at the flywheel.

so an automatic should lose about 60 hp from what is advertised. it should be 200 whp stock and according to Joe's numbers for his six speed the manual loses like 42 hp. which is 218 whp stock.

I bought a '98 accord for 6K in Jan of this year. I rebuilt the transmission using Kennedy Transmission ($3600) and this is how my life went for the next 9 months and I only put 11K miles on my car since I bought it
trans originally replaced at 89K
every 2 weekx back into trans shop for
1. defective axle seal
2. 2nd gear shift flare (something failed)
3. C solenoid failure
4. main line switch readjustment?
5. clutch pack failure
6. Trans failure at 94K
7. Trans leaks around solenoids
8. Trans failed at again at 98K
9. 2-3 slam under light throttle
Before anyone says that I am hard on transmissions, I am one of the FEW people who can get an average of 26MPG out of 60% city 40% HWY driving and over 34MPG HWY on a v6 accord
On Sept 2 I bought my CL type S for $15K with 40123 miles on it at Luther VW. Since that time I have been driving with a peice of mind. I traded my accord in for $5K and I owed $4500 so I got $500 towards my new car. I traded my accord in with 100770 miles on it. The person who got my accord got a car with a
new alt
new tires (less than 1000 miles on them) warrantied for 80K miles
new skid guard
new battery cable
tinted windows
new gold trim (replaced the faeded ones on the car)
and spotless interior with new black floor mats
but I am not sure how long the freshly rebuilt transmission will last though........
I love my CL type S plenty of power, OK fuel ecomony 24 mixed and 31 highwy...and best part is I sitill have 2.5 years of trans warranty left.......
