Did you wash it after claying? You should have.
Did you try using the QD after buffing off the Z5? Did you apply a thin coat of it? Why type of towel are you using for removal?

I've had problems removing Z5/Z2 with ZFX. When not used with ZFX I haven't had any problems. Other people here have also had problems.

Z5 CAN give u streaks/smears...it's not real great, but it does happen...Z2 with streaks is another story...check to see if u're waiting long enough to remove...humidity may b too high to remove in 30 minutes as the directions say for ZFX...if it's nice outside, try leaving the Zaino exposed to the sun for a while

My guess is you applied it too thick and/or didn’t let it dry enough.
It’s also possible you didn’t use enough CLEAN towels when wiping off the car.
You can’t wipe the entire car with ONE towel. I use three or four LARGE bath towels per session and another new one for the Z-6 application.

I don’t think you need another Z-5 coat.
Put ONE coat of Z-2 w/ZFX on (make 1oz. last the entire car).
Let it dry good and wipe off with 3 or 4 clean towels.
Spray with Z-6 and wipe again.
It might need another wipe down the following morning if you missed any of the Z-6 while it was still wet.

Z-2 is more reflective and makes for a better top-coat.
Whenever I do a 3-coat session, it’s always (1) Z-5 and (2) Z-2 followed by a fine mist of Z-6 spray.

Oops…..I better not give away too many secrets before the big competition Sunday.

I don’t know exactly what you mean by “streaks”, but usually any buildup you see after waxing is just dried product that wasn’t wiped off.

Z-6 “should” take this off.
Further coats of Z-2 should make the shine deeper.

That’s one way to end up with “swirleys”, especially on BLACK.

is it safe to polish all the rubber trim
I try to avoid the rubber, but if you get “Z” on it, it won’t turn white like other wax products.
