Is Zaino as good as you guys say?

I have read a lot about Zaino and it sounds to good to be true. I have used name brand products for years, but now I own my first black car.(CL-S). Zaino calls it's self a polish. Polishes are made to bring up a shine, but my car has to sit outside 12 hours a day. Does Zanio give any kind of protection like a hard carnuba. Does it help for acid rain, bird crap,or scratches.

It stays slick for so long it's unbelievable. It's like Rain X for your entire car. Even if it does get dusty, one quick rinse with the hose and it's gone. Nothing sticks to it. Just about the best nd only thing I'll use on my car. Hey , we should start a goup buy.

I previously used the 'real' Zymol on my Maxima for 3yrs and was very happy. Nothing else came close... Meguiar's, Turtle Wax, etc....Nothing. But when I discovered Zaino, it gave a better shine and was much cheaper than Zymol. As long as you have a few coats (5 or 6) of Zaino and don't utilize car washes you will be fine. Any crap on the car can be hosed and wiped down with soft towels. The detailing spray from Zaino actually helps get stuff off the car. As for the 12 hrs a day, try a car cover.

Any Questions?
It takes about 10 minutes a day to wipe the car with a towel to make it brand spankin' new looking regardless of what is on it.
(Well, some stuff like bird poop I spray with water before wiping it off)

What's the cleaning routine once you have one or more coats of Zaino on? Can you still wash the car weekly or every couple weeks and retain the shine and slick feeling?

I wash & wax mine once a week or once every two weeks. But I drive almost everyday (about 300~500 weekly). But as long you don't break the forbidden sin of using a car wash, you should be ok.

Commercial car washes: NEVER!!! I like to hand wash the car myself once a week...didn't know if it is necessary or recommended to put another coat of Z2 on weekly after each wash.

After doing the clay bar, swirl remover and Zaino on my black CLS I actually had a horny little dragonfly trying to hump its image on my hood for about 2 minutes today!! Now that's a shine!!

Funny thing is that the car almost looks like an entirely different color after I did all these steps--there are so many "shiny-swirls" (not swirl marks) where the light is running along the lines of the car that it almost takes on a gray appearence. Nice....

yeah i'm sorta confused about the "keeping it shiny" aspect..
Chod mentioned he just spends 10mins wiping it down... but doesn't the 'build-up' of dust/particulates etc. scratch the finish when you are dry wiping?
Also what's wrong with conventional car washes afterwards? (or do you mean those drive through washes at a gas station?) Washing by hand afterwards ok?

You do not need to re-zaino the car every week - it lasts a long time. In fact, you hear of people putting 3 coats on
and then just coasting through the lovely winter weather.

I don't know if anyone has tested to see how long the zaino lasts. It's not like you can really measure how much zaino is left. You could in theory judge by the amount of reflection but after claybaring the car alone I had a nice reflection without any Z2/Z5/Z6 on it at all!

I'm not too surprised about JZ's bug thing - Z6 smells like bubblegum!

I keep three spray bottles in the trunk:
water (which I normally use), Z7 car wash for harder to get off stuff, and Z6 just in case. I don't dry-wipe. And of course a nice fluffy CLEAN cotton towel!

I haven't (and don't plan on till winter) used a car-wash, but I assume the risk is the drying process. Nothing like a slightly
dirty thing drying your car to leave swirls and scratches everywhere!

Anybody in the tri-state area know where there is a nice and clean self-svc car wash. When I was on vacation in Myrtle Beach, SC 3 weeks ago, I used one and it made washing the car so easy.

The Zaino not only reflects well, but really helps protect the paint. My car still looks like new a year later.

The best part is the ability to build up layers of the stuff. With the addition of the gloss enhancer bird dropping and other junk wipe off like grime from a teflon pan.

Damn, your car is sooooooooo shiny man. I can almost see my reflection through the internet.

I'm buying all of their stuff tomorrow. I have a WDP/Ebony TLS w/navi, and I would be more than satisfied with half youor shine. That stuff is badass. Congratz man, good ass job.
