YUP, I seem to recognize most of those bottles.
I’m pretty well stocked up myself.

You DID get some ZFX didn’t you?

On average, how long does a shine from a Zaino coat last? Also, how does much does rain affect it?

Ernie,

I have a whole bottle of that stuff that I’ll give to you at the Park Ave MEET if you want it.
I’m a Meguiar’s fan myself for tire care.
I use the “Gold Class Endurance High Gloss Long Lasting Tire Protectant Gel”
The ZAINO stuff is too watery and runs right off the applicator.
That’s the ONLY product from Zaino that I don’t care for.

not this time...still not convinced it's worth it...i don't like measuring amounts and risking using too much and not having enough or not using enough and having wasted product

i guess it depends...depending on the thickness of the coat u put on, it'll last a few weeks or so...the beading effect is nowhere near as good as Meguiar's Gold Class Paste/liquid, however Meguiar's is nowhere near as glossy and "wet" looking

remember what i told u a few weeks ago...Meguiar's Gold Class Endurance, NOT the High Gloss, is even less "gel'ly" than the High Gloss...i'll bring some to PAA and show u...if it's a higher gloss u're looking, apply a second coat of the product...benefits to using the regular is no residue splashing up while in motion...i have both the regular and high gloss and hated the high gloss for doing that...i'd b happy to give u the rest of mine (bout 7/8 bottle left) if u want it

You’re looking at around 75-bucks worth of “Z-Stuff” there.
E-Mail Sal and ask him where your nearest distributor is in Canada.

FYI, it's the POLISH (e.g. Meguiar's Show Car Glaze) not the wax that brings out the shine. The wax is just there as a PROTECTANT. (notice the use of the "ShawnS-capitilazing-emphasis-method" )

Also, you're probably hooked on the Zaino stuff now, but try the Mirror Glaze line sometime, instead of the Gold Class stuff which is targeted for the Walmart/Target crowds.

the Gold Class liquid/paste was designed to incorporate both qualities (wax & polishing compounds) and balanced it fairly well...i think it leaned more towards the wax side vs Zaino which leans more to the polish side...i went with the Gold Class years ago since it was rated #1 in average consumer waxes...only last summer did i start Zaino'ing

as far as Mirror Glaze goes, i've tried it along with the 4-step system...it's good, but it didn't really give me that smooth-as-glass feel...the shine/glaze look was pretty comparable.

Scooter, that is actually the house across the street. About 50-75 feet away. I was parked in my garage and snapped that pic.

That's my hood and it's the spray nozzle for the windshield wiper fluid. I have two of them. Doesn't the CL have them on the hood?

Naw actually they only put things on for the slower cars like the TL's CLS are so fast they dirt/rain doesn't even touch the windshield

Somebody posted that Zaino will last for a couple of weeks...is this right??? Do you mean the shine lasts for a couple of weeks?? I would hope that if I am spending $80 on car wax products that it should be able to keep water beading for as long as the $5 turtle wax I have used...

I don't want to have to wax my car every couple of weeks...that would mean I would spend approx. 20 days a year just waxing my car.

When was the last time you raced a CLS versus a TLS?

Zapata, you know my car is soooo much cooler than yours. Wait till you see my new interior trim pieces.

I put 3 coats of Zaino on before the winter...

The water was still beading up until I clayed it again just a week ago.

I would say it lasted (with adequate protection) from October to April.

I noticed in April that it was getting harder to remove water spots and shit... thats when I knew the Zaino had worn off. Water was still beading decently though up until last week when I finally decided to re-do the Z process.

Pretty good longevity through a New York winter I'd say.

Thanks for clearing that up soopa...Sounds like pretty good results...I was getting worried that this wax only last 3 days, and then it turns your car into a pumpkin...

naa thas one of the things that makes Zaino better then high quality traditional waxes like Zymol...

it outlasts them.

Zymol, Griots... etc... all can give you a better shine then Zaino... but they wont last half as long.

Hey Soopa, just wondering, but do u park your car inside or outside? I plan on getting Zaino, but I also worry about having to Zaino too much. (I have to park my car outside)
