You wont be racing this GS400......

since i post here from time to time (and also since scalbert was kind enough to drop me a note) i thought that i would give you guys an update on my car. more like an obituary. on wed, the grinch was killed. bad road conditions, scurrying animal, and poor driving decisions resulted in a wreck that i was blessed to have walked away from. timing for this is horrible but it couldve been so much worse. i will still stop by from time to time, since you guys are definitely a class-act. but right now i think that i need to find a forum for guys without a car. click here to view the body see yall around.........

Doc

I have nothing. You hear me.....NOTHING!!!

Doc,

Sorry to hear and see that happened to you and that beauty. Glad to hear that no one was hurt (at least not too badly). Good luck with everything and let us know when you get a new car.

sometimes its just as bad hitting the damn things. i remember an email i got not to long ago... a dodge durango driver with a huge buck in his windsheild! looked like the damn think just jumped in his truck head on. the whole roof was crushed, it looked really bad. animals crossing the roads can be very dangerous.

Wow, glad you could walk away from it. Sorry to hear/see your bad luck. I hope thanksgiving and x-mas goes good for you this year. Something to lighten the blow anyway...

Deer get hit all the time out here. And they almost always total the car. It really sucks.

Best of luck to you...

Dr. Rick:

I feel for ya man. That's terrible! I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

I'm glad that you are ok.

About how fast were you going when this happened?

And exactly how many times did it roll?

Sorry about your loss!

thanx for the sympathies, fellas. it is "officially" a total loss. my original plan was to get a supra or wrx or something fun like that as a weekend car while keeping the Grinch for daily duties. but now things have kinda changed. luckily, it looks like they are gonna give me a pretty good deal as far as reimbursement. more than likely ill pick up another 400/430. this time black on black with the NAV. no disrespect to anyones car here, but for what i want, i cant think of a better all around car for the money. hopefully i can get most of the mods off of the car (intake/exhaust/ecu/sways/grill/etc........spring and shocks are trash) and just transfer it to the next car. i will definitely keep you all posted. thanx again and be careful.......

Rick

animals f*cking suck A couple months ago two cows were crossing the road. This was like a back highway in Texas...need i say more. Anyways, they were taking up both lanes. This was at night, so right when i saw them, i swerved and ending up swiping the cows tail. Had about $2800 worth of damage to the rental. Could have been a lot worse.

Then just two weeks ago, I was on I-20 and I see a deer in the road, and it's running towards my passenger side. So I start drifting more towards the right and it hit my rear view mirror. Again, that could have been a lot worse. And again, it was in a rental. But I learned one thing since the cow, always get the insurance. When i hit the cow i didn't, and when i hit the deer I had it.

OH yah, and both incidents happened at night. Probably could avoid both totally in the daytime.

my condolences, you had a sweet car with a lot of work put into it...

I hope whatever you replace it with, gets the same kind of loving treatment.
