Uhhh...no. But, my Mom and Dad had Chargers back in the late-60s-early-70s, before they discovered foreign cars. Beastly hogs!!

About 1/2 of my friends in high school drove one of those! Too bad they were known for exploding with a rear-end collision. Here's some reading material for the n00bs.

...and people here get angry at Honda/Acura for the auto-transmission problem. T'ain't nothin'. Ford was to blame for 100s of maimings and deaths, and still was hesitant to recall their product or make it safer with an $11 upgrade. Rat bastards!

My Dad's parents had two white Camaros...'70 and '71, I believe. Man, I wish I had half a clue in '83 when they moved to Australia...I would have asked for one of them.

My mom had one, but I had 4

Heck, I'm a moderator of the Ford Pinto Mailing list (yahoogroup since 1998).

Slimey, what the heck are you doing on Scotts website ?? ( fordpinto.com )

Now, how about a 10 second Pinto for $7000 ??

Read the full magazine story about Smokin' Joe Morgan's Pinto here:

I just found it when I googled ford+pinto+explode. Actually a very nice site.

Apart from the explosion thing, the Pinto was a cool car for it's time. As said, it seemed like everyone and their brother drove one in high school, and they are mod-able. Ford Mavericks with their V8s were also popular high school cars.

There is something very wrong about a 10 second Pinto.
