Yet another CL-S with Axis Se7ens...

Well here are a few pics of my CL. Sorry about the quality, but that's the best I can do right now. I didn't even want to take these b/c my car is so damn dirty right now. Hopefully they're sized properly to upload as attachments now, what a pain in the ass with a connection that's barely 36K right now. I'll try to post better ones later this week, hopefully with a CLEAN car. What's a good place to have host the pics for free? I'm thinking Yahoo.

Rod,

Those are some very nice wheels. If you don't mind me asking, where did you buy the wheels and how much?

Thanks for the feedback.

Fabvsix, the OEM rubber does suck ass! I have no complaints with the FZ4s yet. I was mainly concerned about their grip on wet roads and so far so good. We've been getting quite a bit of rain down here and these tires are great. Maybe not as good as T1-Ss as some say, but when compared to stock, it's like a night and day difference. The car feels planted and doesn't get the hydroplane feeling. About the sways, I considered them when getting the springs, but I don't know how much use I'll get from them since I've never experienced before and after test drives to see what a difference they make. Besides, I'm more about the looks right now than performance.

SIGRUDE, I bought the wheels locally, but you can find them on just about every wheel website, except for Tire Rack I think. Go to wheelmax.com, they have them listed for about $2,500 I believe, that's with tires.

Marc S, I've been wanting to clear out my headlights ever since I got the car, but I need to find someone trustworthy to do it. I don't think it's something I want to do myself and I wnat them done right the first time so I don't have to deal with moisture getting in there. That's one of the next mods on the list though...along with painting my calipers black, getting a couple 12s in a custom setup hopefully, and a Comptech exhaust.

Well I'm on Comptech springs now, but I think the rear wheel gap is still too big. The front doesn't look bad. I'm hoping a couple 12s in a custom setup will be enough weight to bring the rear down just enough. I thought about coilovers, but don't know if I wanna waste that money again and if I wanna deal with the camber and rubbing issues.

Thanks for the compliments guys.

And yeah, I can only think of Soopa having them in chrome and I know someone on the board had a white CL with gunmetal Se7ens. I wanted to get something original, but I just couldn't find any other wheel that I could get within a couple weeks that I felt looked good in 19" on a CL. Most 5 spoke wheels look to close to stock and I wanted something a bit different. Too many people already had C2s so I thought M5 3-piece wheels or GT3s. M5s would have been at least a 2 month wait and the GT3s would only fit in 18", so i just went with the rims I originally wanted, besides I haven't seen any CL in South Florida with this setup.

I live in West Kendall, Lago Mar/Hammocks area. I have yet to see a CL down here with Se7ens, I barely even see non-stock CLs.

It is time for another meet though, they're trying to set one up for this Sat night. I may be able to meet up for a while if it's down south before everyone rides out to "the towers," where ever in north miami that is.

I was waiting for those wheels to come out before I got my Se7ens, but they took too long and my stock tires had gone to shit so I needed new tires ASAP. First they told me that they'd be out sometime in June, then in August, and now it's September and nothing.

I placed an order for the Se7en Mod a few months back and im still waiting. But I called Axis today and they had good news. They said they have recived the first production wheel and this means it should only be about 3-4weeks before the rest are in the country. I ordered through Spy Engineering and they have a pic of the first production Se7en Mod at this site

They don't look as good as I thought they would. Just compare them to the actual 3-piece...

You can definitely see the difference.

I figured, but we really do need a little meet down south. I need to see some other spring setups on the CL and want to hear some of the systems people have.
