Yet another brake upgrade question.....

I am interested in getting the Powerslot PLUS brake upgrade for my 01 CL-S, but the problem is that they don't make this kit for our cars. Now there is a kit available for the 98-2002 Accord V6. Are the braking systems similar between the Accord and the CL?
The reason why I'm asking, aside the obvious reason of being interested in the kit, is that it is designed to work with the stock calipers so they provide a caliper relocation kit to account for the larger size rotor. Here's the site link for info.
HTML Code:
http://www.powerslot.com/pages/power_slot_plus.html
If you look under the applications section it will show you the details. Thanks in advanced.

yea i was thinking about getting those with my legend calipers, but when i talked to excellerate he said that it wouldnt fit our cars. im still skeptical though because of the fact that when you buy a bbk...there isnt even a seperate app. for AV6 & CL so i think it would actually fit. if you find them for a good price let me know
cheapest i had found was approx. 500ish for just the fronts.

The fronts are the same as the accord, the rears are supposed to be different.

Like Ross said, most BBKs list the Accord and CL as the same part number.

The actually BBK's share the same part # b/c they include new calipers, rotors, and the bracket that works with it. The Power Slot BBK though is just an oversized rotor will a relocation bracket. Now the part #'s are different on the front rotors for the Accord V6 and the CL so there is a difference. Whether is in size or width, etc I don't know for sure but if so that might affect how the caliper lines up with the rotor. It may not or it may work. The calipers may be different too on the Accord V6 and CL too so it may not work. With the actually BBK's you are dealing with an aftermarket caliper not trying to work with the stock caliper as in this kit.

Thanks for the help guys . So it seems it may or may not work. Thats what I was originally thinking . I'm gonna try looking in to this a bit more. I saw these in modified magazine(put on a 95 honda accord project) and it seems to be a good upgrade especially if their paired with NSX(I love that bling factor ) or Legend calipers like what cltypeslow said. If anyone else has some insight in this just chime in. Thanks.

I had the NSX calipers. Definately a good upgrade if you can't afford a BBK. I would go with the Legend ones though. You never really highlite your stock calipers. The only difference is that the NSX ones are black, and have "NSX" on them. I would go with the Legend ones and paint or powder coat them black.

Kind of off topic but i got a ? for excelerate and anybody else that could help/

I have a 2002 acccord coupe v6, i already have the rotora bbk and was wondering if the rear bbk off the cl-s from rotora would work.

No prob, I think it's still on topic. I want to know if the brakes are similar as well(Front at least).

No, the rear disc is different so the setup wouldn't work. The calipers and bracket might work but the disc is different, probably in the hub width or even offset of the hub b/c even the CL/TL have different rear rotors.
