Yes, I searched - still need basslink answer.

See there are several ways of installing a Basslink...

1. Buy a Cablelink (some people say this is a waste).

2. Tap into line levels before Bose Amp. (some people say their's do not turn off, and whine when the trunk is open.)

3. Tap into the speakers in the rear (some people say the sound is 'dirty', but no power problems.)

SO - Which one of these is really best?? Which one has problems? I'm leaning towards number 2, the line levels... I can do either install - just wanna know what others have really had problems and success with...

Did the power problems and noise problems for people that had them ever get worked out... ??

Thx in advance.

i'd go for the rear deck speakers.

you most likely won't notice any distortion..

Go for the line level input signals to the Bose amp. At the same location tap also on the remote power from the head unit to the Bose power amp and the ground connection.

With this wiring you get cleaner signal because any noise from the head unit get amplified along with signal. This amplified noise is then passed to the input of the basslink if using the speaker level inputs. Additionally, all amplifiers introduce some amount of noise, the inherent noise from the Bose amp will also be there as input if using speaker levels.

Use line level for cleaner signal.

Some people complaint about noise from the ignition. That is almost always resolved with good grounding. It is important to tap on the ground wire from the head unit to the Bose amp. Then connect your tap to a common ground with the ground wire from the Basslink. A good clean metal point on the car chassis.

Connect your remote power on tap to the one on the basslink. This will make the basslink to power on only when you turn the head unit on.

Good luck with the install
