The rims get VERY dirty VERY fast. There's a blue one in my parking lot. The car is clean for a day, then the rims look like crap again.

ahhh Pinnacle Souveran...gonna be getting that soon...very easy to apply and looks nice...although does not last as long as Klasse or Zaino...but much, much, much, much, much, much, much easier to apply than Zaino and easier than Klasse.

Yeah, the souveran is pretty nice. I used it on the CL before I was introduced to Zaino. Nice product.

Zaino looks at least as good, IMHO:

Cloudy day so no magical sky reflections. Amazing shine for a cloudy day though.

Why does everyone think that Zaino is sooo hard to apply?

Just because someone (Sal) went to the trouble of showing you how to properly prep a car. I guess you just skip all those steps when you use Souveran.

Please show us how Sov is so much easier to apply.

Oh yeah I guess the coat of Z1 makes it sooo much harder.

I'll trade that over having to apply twice as many times to keep the same protection....and shine.

Yeah what exactly is SO hard to apply? The first time you do the treatment you need to apply Z1 and then just wash and z2 every time after that until 6 months passess and then apply one more coat of z1

I've only seen pictures of Zainoed, Sov, and Klassed cars and personally they all look the same. I haven't personally seen Zaino in person, but from what I've read and heard, it seems complicated. I was introduced to Sov by Greg (Carguy) over on autopia, and he made some interesting points concerning "properly preping a car". Don't think I'm ragging on Zaino, personally I have nothing against it, it's just expensive and I don't see that much more gains between the other two. With the Souveran, you just take an applicator and apply. Nothing to it...no need for a curing time and the results are almost as good. Granted the protection is not as long as Klasse or Zaino, but I figured if Greg can use it on his 996 and M5, it has got to be good enough for my CL. For pics of his car you can check here. But to each his own

Hey Neil is autopia back up???? I cant get on is there a new address or something? I saw those pics on there a while back, is it back up or did you have em on your hard drive?

Also Pinnacle is easier to apply than what we use, Im on Klasse right now, probably try Z once its done. There is nothing to Pinnacle. You can wipe it on and do your whole car in a few minutes since you buff it on, and immediately right off and theres no curing. You put it on by hand in any direction you want, and you can just fly putting it on; literally. The hood literally takes less than 10 seconds to put it on using broad strokes. Then the same to buff it off. The only way to describe it is that its like working with warm butter. It really is great to work with.

The only problem is the durability, both in shine and as a barrier. It just doesnt last just like any other carnauba, but you can literally just throw a coat on after every wash. I'm sticking with my sealants/polishes.
