Xtralights 8k HID Bulbs (mini-review / pics)
Lost a headlight not long ago, and replaced them both with 8k HID's from Xtralights.com.
Bad pics, because I was barefoot and it's freezing out.
This is with them on for about 2-3 minutes:

Overall I'm VERY happy with them. They're definitely blue, and the light they throw is a lot nicer to look at over the stock bulbs. I've read up and I can see why people say the higher kelvin bulbs might fatigue your eyes over long drives, but after two hours tonight I had no problems - I really like them a lot. It's a little less light (to my eye, anyway) than stock, but it's easy on the eyes and just softer to look at.
As far as xtralights.com, they're good to deal with but with one catch. My lights were $199 with free shipping, and chances are if you're buying a headlight bulb you're driving around with one out. It took eight days for the bulbs to get from California to Mass. I ordered them on a Saturday, and their "24/7 Support" is just a guy who answers the phone to tell you to call back on Monday. When I did get them on the phone I was told "by the end of the week" on that Monday, but they came the following Monday a week later, so all in all 9 days from the time I actually placed the order to the bulbs being in my hand. So if you go with them, opt to pay for speedier shipping because driving around with one headlight for a week sucks.
As far as the bulbs, good quality, again I really like the look/light thrown by the 8k's and would recommend them to anyone. My CL is my commuter car, and I think it's a good balance between form/function. They look good without overdoing it, and throw off plenty of great light.

Probably a little of both, heh. Like I said, it's cold out.
I'll grab some better pics with a tripod tomorrow night instead of taking flashless pics while shivering. The glare isn't bad at all, it's mostly my camera lens getting washed out because I didn't set it properly.

I had ebay 8ks and they burned out on me...looked cool. But cool looking isn't really what I'm going for with my car. I put the stockies back on.
