XM Radio - Your thoughts?
I have XM in my Acura CL-S and think it's great. I purchased a Panavise bracket for my Delphi SkyFi from Powercallsirens.com (cheapest I could find) that mounted the unit really well in easy reach of the driver. I used the tape adapter since it provided better sound quality and volume vs. the FM modulator. I ran the tape cord to the left of the tape deck, under the volume control and it is hardly noticeable. I had the FM modulator, but returned it after I didn't like the application and performance. My antenna is mag. mounted to my trunk. When I figure out how to post pics, I'll put some up-
Here is a link for the Panavise Bracket. It's worth it!!

okay i read about getting XM radio for free on /. or slashdot.org for you f00's
basically its suppose to work in theory, several of the people had worked with XM before and said it would probably work
sign up-- activate get your service... but then CANCEL-- yet the key thing is when you cancel, have your XM radio OFF and LEAVE IT off for at least a month-- more if you can, because the way its set up... the signal that XM sends out is a national signal and they have limited bandwith-- and each individual XM reciever has to be activated seperately with its own code --the only way they can activate (or deactivate) a specific XM reciever is to send the activation/deactiviation code to the whole nation.. and due to bandwith, they'll send the code about every 2 hours for like a week or month (these are approx.) after you sign up and then they'll just stop cuz they can't afford to keep sending the code, it'd take up wayy too much bandwith-- so the theory goes, that if you don't let your reciever get the deactivation code by leaving it off for about a month, (i'd probably go for 2 (3 if you want to be really safe)) and then you have free XM for life--
.. slashdot.org people know what they are talking about.. none of them had tried this before but in theory (they all know everything about the system) it should work

I was reading on the XM Forum that it sucked, many people have canceled it due to suck ass programing. I heard all they do is the Sex Talk Thing and Sex Court. What fun is that without seeing the hot women.
