Hey Xephyr,

I'm voicing my concerns in the interests of my buddy Minh Au of San Jose, CA; he placed an order for your CLS intake more than a month ago. He tried emailing and got no response. So I'm sticking up for my homie.

He came down here to Irvine this Friday with his Silver Type S and we spoke about it.
Anxious to hear about what you say.
In other threads it seems like your customers are exceedingly anxious to get a hold of you.

So in the best interests of this board, please explain your tardiness and lack of a better communication bond with your CL CUSTOMERS.

I wanted to save a few bucks by going with the Xypher CAI, But after reading about all the problems with customer service, I decited to go with the AEM CAI from Tim. MAN am I glad I did!!!! I got it within 10 days from when I ordered it and it looks GREAT!!!!!!

I'd hate to say it, but I am sure glad I did NOT go with the Xypher cai.

If you plan to start ANY kind of ANY business, you MUST make customer service avalible, Hell, if YOU are to busy to answer questions, THEN GET SOMEONE TO HELP YOU!

I must admit. When he first started posting the info about his CAI, I was very interested in him and his products. He seemed to be going "balls out" back then. Posting pics, answering questions about product and specs. But I have been watching his customers fume here, and that has thrown a wrench into my plans of buying his CAI. Based on the recent events I guess it's time to plan on spending my money elsewhere.

hey give the guy a break, he's one of *US* --we begged him to make the CAI, and he really isn't in it for the money. he does this in his spare time, it isn't a full time job for him, like AEM, etc. and frankly, i enjoy waiting a bit, and paying a lot less for his products, which are equal if not better than the big name products. if you guys piss him off, and he doesn't make anything else, i'm gonna be upset. be nice, polite, etc, otherwise, leave the guy alone!!!

fbazakos: I think the issue here is that he keeps promising ship dates that he can't meet. I understand that this is his "spare time" work, but some of us have been waiting for awhile and the guy doesn't reply to e-mails or anything else. The quality of his products is not in question here. It's his customer service approach that we are speaking about. Chris maybe the nicest guy, but there are several members who are waiting on the CAIs. A 1-2 week wait is acceptable, 3-4 weeks is still acceptable, but more than 5 weeks isn't. I could accept the wait provided that he was forthcoming and told us that upfront backlog time. fbazakos this is in way an attack on you or your statements. I'm simply stating some facts as it relates to "customers of Xephyr" who are waiting for their CAIs.

I'm sure everyone wants to cut him some slack, but the least someone can do in a business, money-related transaction is to update the customers with any news on a daily basis. He's seemed to gone for several weeks now. I was sold on Xephyr too, and I still want one, but I'll wait out and see if he ever ships out his last shipment...

As I have been flooded while unable to maintain better relations on this board I will try to answer some of your concerns.

1) Anyone who has ordered and not received their intake they will be shipped out this friday. Demand is exceeding supply as I also service bmw/mercedez/acura.

2) Anyone who wishes to cancel an order send email to cancel@XephyrPerformance.com

3) Anyone who is interested locally to see the product then attend the Meet this weekend in which I will be present with CAI's onhand.

4) I have had a cable outage and had little time to maintain better contact .. I apologize.... If there are any other questions or concerns regarding the product or customer support refer to #1 or #2 accordingly. I stand behind my product.

5) ANYONE else that decides to send incorrect/changing/falsified/ credit/payment information please save yourself and me the time and grief.. it slows me down and then I have to write posts like this.

6) Those of you who have the product and have tried to defend me while I was unable to ... I THANK YOU ALL... you are the reason I continue offering my products.

7) Customer Service - I admittedly have not had time to answer all of you individually as I am trying to increase my product line and inventories. However, I have consistently been answering phone calls from 8AM -> 12 AM+ 7 days a week. I am not available 24/7, however have bent over backwards trying to answer you each personally ... where I have failed... I failed... I will be expanding in the near future and will be able to facilitate your calls better until then @ $200.00 per intake my profit margin is about as small as the confidence I am dealt on a daily basis. I would rather not slam prices accordingly to $250+ like the rest of the retail market for the goods received to support a call center.

8) This board is one venue for my products which encompass bmw/mercedez etc... this is NOT where I am making a retirement fund from.. yet this is the place I spend the most time answering questions/advice/tech problem solving... members that have been here a while know that...

In all, if I dont have the time to respond to each of you personally I apologize. However, several members I converse with on a daily basis know where I stand.. I do my best to keep everyone in the loop but [please realize this is not my only marketplace... but I do spend more time here then anywhere else for a reason that is obviously not the money and surely not to run any "scam" on anyone.

For those that have been my advocates I thank you (Fotis, Avenger,Iridium, anyone else i havent mentioned) I appreciate all your help and this obviously does not in any way apply to you!
