Xephyn Intake Review

Your Xephyr intake is awesome. The entire install took no more than an hour. I was against the clock because when I started I knew that it was going to rain but I had to have it in and working to enjoy for the weekend. I didn't have the directions to do the work but I was able to wing it. Taking the top part of the air box out was a piece of cake. It was the bottom that threw me a bit. You can't see the bolts that easily, and to find them took the most time. After the old box was out the rest went quickly. I realized where the "J" shaped piece went and tightened everything down so there was no jiggling inside the compartment. Now for the fun part.
After re-connecting the battery, leaving the hood up I started her expecting to hear a hiss, but to my surprise NO HISS!!!! Only one sucking sound and a nice quiet engine. I thought, man this is boring she isn't any louder. So I drop the hood and go take a spin, slow at first, I had to wait for a cop to leave the main road. Once he's gone I MASH the pedal!!!! WOW what a roar! Crisp, clear loud horses stampeding under the hood. I have no complaints, I was slowing down just to get the chance to speed up again. Chris you've made a quality product that I definitely enjoy and would recommend to anyone with a CLS or BMW. Thanks for the great product!
PS: What the heck do I do with the old box? Build something out of that for us!

describe the VTEC sound and can you hear the 2nd stage IMRC engaging ?

You would have to listen to mine, Today, it was blues skies again, droped the windows, open the moonroof, I gave it punch, Woahhh, Woahhh, Woahhh it sounded like a V8 something like a corvette..
