I have looked at this picture for awhile now...and it really bothers me. Why would someone do this to a nice car? Why didn't someone stop him from doing it? The funny thing about it is the guy thinks he's riding pimp. If I ever saw that guy in person I would call him a jackass to his face...I just wouldn't be able to help myself.

Let me tell ya, back in da late 70's when my dad used to get new cars about every six months, he once picked up a Firebird. I bet he was one of the earliest of the "de-badgers" because he took that new Firebird to a shop and told them to take that ugly ass bird off of the hood because he thought the goddamn thing was an eye sore They thought he was a moron because at the time the large bird emblem went for about $150 on the street.

I'm thinking a double-wide trailer worth $10K, a car thats worth five times that much, and a lot of very low quality beer went in to this project car.
All it needs is a few of those calvin and hobbes stickers showing the little boy peeing on the ford symbol.
Oh and those mud flaps with the chrome naked lady on it.

I saw a Mistubishi Galant or something today that had this INCREDIBLY TACKY DISGUSTING RETARDED gold trim on everything. Like every frickin' line, including the lines of the hood. The friggin' hood was outlined in gold garbage. WTF disease to these people have that insist on running gold trim lines all over their vehicle?! Disgusting.

I can sort of see what the owner was doing, but he must have been drunk when doing an install. He might have been trying to get the chromed look of the 1963-1967 Corvettes, but this is horribly overkill, and just plain ugly.
Now that I mention it, I would have to be drunk to see what he was trying to do. Good taste is hard to find these days. Poor Corvette.

I seriously don't see the appeal in any of this, including gold emblems, grilles, exhaust pipes, chromed fender add-ons, etc. Ugly, tacky, and not subtle. Ew.
