WTF is up with the Neuspeed upper-strut ties??

talk about cookie...i go to autocarparts.com and look at the upper-strut tie bar and see a single bar...then i check it out on Neuspeed.com, and it's a double bar on either side...now im really confused...if it comes with a double bar on either side, how the hell can u keep the stock bar on??? and if u don't believe me, here's the link...BTW, go to autocarparts.com and see what the bar looks like on a 1st generation (not a double bar)...i'm not liking this one bit!! somebody please tell me im not crazy...i dunno what i should buy, the single bar and keep the stock bar or try and get the double bar and take off the stock bar

that's just the picture they use...you can't expect them to have a picture of each kind for each car, do you?

like tires...when you pick 225/45-17 p7000 on tirerack and look at the picture, you thinmk thye're showing you 225/45-17's?

first off, it's misleading...and second, there are plenty of people on this forum who've kept their stock bars on, which suggests they got the single bar design (u'll notice when u look at the double bar design how it's virtually impossible to keep the stock bar on), so does that mean they got jipped out of a better design?? THAT is what pisses me off...i don't like seeing people paying for and not getting the kind of product they originally asked for.

yeah, it's misleading, but so is 90% of the ads you see on tv, mags, billboards, newspapers, etc.

when you look in the newspaper and see an ad for a 2001 3.2 cl with 225hp, a/c, hids, etc. etc. for a certain price and there's a picture above the add with a cl-s, and you go to the dealer and demand the cl-s for the price in the ad, what do you think they're gonna say? are you going to tell them that you are getting jipped?

anyway, you can buy the one they show in the picture. it may not fit your car then, but why is that their problem? you wanted the one in the picture.

the one for the cl-s (actually for the accord) is a single bar, that's how people keep their stock bars in.

ok, here's the scoop...just got off the phone with Neuspeed...they offer BOTH configs...here's the prob tho...depending on the model, certain bars won't fit, so what they do is get a test car and try out both configs...they prefer the double bar 4 point attachment, but if it doesn't work, they do the single bar...so to summarize, it's not misleading in the sense they offer both configs (wish they stated that-price is the same either way), so i hereby apologize for offending/upsetting anyone in my angry rage this morning...hope this helped some of u out in resolving any issues with the bars.

How much less are they charging for the single bar? I'm assuming its less because of less material.

I paid about over $100 for the single bar that was shown in the forum photos -- that was to get it directly from Neuspeed. (A member or two posted pics of the bar made for the Accord that fits our car...)

The factory bar along with the Neuspeed is plenty...

yeah unfortunately it costs the same in either config...but think of it this way...whether u get the single bar and combine it with your stock bar, or u get the double bar 4 point attachment, both configs give u a similar result...the combo stock bar and single Neuspeed bar compliment each other very well, according to the rep i spoke with (and he has encountered this situation numerous times, or so he says)...the 4 point attachment will put more stress on the bar, however well within load limits, plus the 4 point design mimics having the single bar and stock bar design b/c it channels the forces through the bar...as a side note, the rep told me shipping is waived if u placed the order with them, so the prices vary slightly (not sure bout taxes tho)...5-7 business days for shipping.

no problems...one of the 2 configs will work, and if not, they will shape the bar to fit properly...they will also call u when the config is complete and that they're ready to ship.
