Well I just got back in town from Springfield, MO (PS. there isn't much to do there, I wouldn't recommend a family vacation there I think Branson is the place to be) and I checked on my Neuspeed Front Upper Strut Tie Bar Order on Carparts.com (Part 35.20.96P) It says "The estimated ship date for this item is 7/9/2001" anybody else get this???

Should've ordered straight from Neuspeed.
It's better to call them first (you get a real person) to make sure they have the part in stock. They usually do, and ship right away.

BTW - I ordered brake lines and got that same story from carparts. But Tim contacted me right away.

Good deal. I paid like $125 and I drove up there to pick it up. They have a very nice facility. There's a beautiful white Type-R in the showroom for sale. Plain looking on the outside, only rims and tires, but looking closer you see a lot of Neuspeed stuff in the suspension, brakes etc. Could not see the engine.

Hey Beach-CL, when I owned my CL-S, I used to drive down to neuspeed to get my parts. Just mention to them that you can get the parts cheaper through autocarparts.com, and they will beat that price. (And that Type-R was pretty clean )

Did anyone get the strut bar they ordered (from carparts.com)?

I called them today -- and they are ordering the parts from an east coast distributor. No status – I am getting ready to just get the stuff from Neuspeed

So they are made up in Ventura, get shipped to a distributor back east, only to be shipped back to So Cal for shipment again.

When I called these guys, they said the distributor had them in stock. When I called today, they said they didn't know what is going on!

I called Neuspeed and they have tons of the bars in stock!!!

I know I have company, since the guy at Neuspeed commented about all of the people from the Acura forum calling. He also said that they never give discounts!

When I first called them, the “sales guy” said that they didn’t have the parts in stock, but the distributor had the parts in stock and they were on the west coast!

YOU were lucky -- I called today and I canceled the order!!!!

I don't know if you used the discount coupon, but I did. The bummer is they told me a different story every time I called. When I called today, the CS rep. told me that the supplier didn't have the bars and that they were "special order."

I don't think I will be doing business with these guys in the future.

Even the rep. I spoke to said, "Sounds like we have been giving you the run-around"

NO KIDDING!

Maybe the other people that ordered the part will be luckier than I was.

Well they told me 7/9/01 ... it's only $80, and I saved at least $25, so I'm not flipping out here. I had to order some bolts directly from Neuspeed for the lower tower brace (note: not UPPER, but LOWER) that i bought from marioman, but Neuspeed had the bolts on backorder, and those won't be in for 2 weeks. So I have that sitting in my room, along with my eibach springs, and the front brace in la la land ... but I have patience ... I'm a grasshopper

mine hasn't showed up yet. rwwlaw just posted above here, but in black. i ordered the polished one. The part # is 35.20.96P, the P means polished, so if you want black, leave that off.
